Our track-truck is suitable for most geotechnical sites. This rig is
driven as a self-contained HGV to site where it can deploy its tracks
to cope with soft or uneven terrain.
The track-truck can be driven from the front and back, and is fitted
with a chalwyn valve and spark arrestor to enable testing on
potentially hazardous sites such as oil and gas refineries.
Performance Rates
An expected 100m+ of standard CPTu testing can be
executed in a day (dependent on site conditions and access).

UK17 is Lankelma’s heaviest rig; it can be ballasted to 33 T making
it perfect for penetrating hard ground with our dummy cone tip.
This technique allows us to continue testing in material beneath.
Our wheeled rig is suitable for hard standing ground conditions.
The spacious interior is ideal for housing our MIP equipment for
environmental testing.

Our ‘bogskipper’ tracked rig’s low bearing pressures, large footprint,
and high ground clearance make it ideal for working sites with boggy
or soft ground conditions.
Unique to the UK, this rig is suitable for intertidal projects, peat
bogs and weight-sensitive sites. The rubber tracks minimize
the potential for any damage to delicate infrastructure, such as
a sea wall.

UK2 is designed to work on all brownfield sites, including beaches
and sites with soft / uneven ground conditions.
The rig is driven externally with a control device. This allows the
operator to have clear views for access and maneuvering.
This compact crawler has anchor points so it can be craned
onto the deck of a barge for nearshore CPT work.

Lankelma’s inclined testing rig connects to the end of most
excavator arms and can be tilted to allow CPTs to be carried
out at any angle up to 90°.
The CPT cone has been modified to allow the angle of testing
to be monitored throughout the test.
Originally developed to test through a reservoir embankment,
the rig also has the potential for investigating at many other
sites, including inclined testing beneath buildings and
structures.
Requires a support vehicle to be in the vicinity to carry
additional equipment.
Performance Rates
In ideal conditions up to 50 m of standard CPTu testing can be
executed in a day.

Ideal for sites with challenging access, this rig has previously been
utilised in London’s residences. The rubber tracks provide the rig with
a low bearing pressure making it suitable for soft terrain whilst
causing minimal tracking damage.
The mini-crawler has 4 ground anchors (0.5 m in length) which screw
into the ground to give a reaction force.
The mini crawler is suitable for projects on rivers, canals, flood and
sea defenses/embankments and other sites where access is difficult
for conventional rigs.
Performance Rates
Up to 50 m of standard CPTu testing can be executed in a day
(dependent on site conditions and access).

UK09
Anchoring, by Acrow props, bolts or weights, provides the reaction
force for testing. This unit is ideal for testing in confined spaces such
as warehouses or basements.
UK10
Designed for use in tunnels, this light-weight mobile unit has been
mounted at varying angles for horizontal CPTs on London Tube lines.
Anchoring the rams to the ground or wall provides the reaction force.

UK16 is towed to site by a van housing the CPT equipment. This rig
is suitable for narrow access sites and can test on land or overwater
using a cantilever frame. The rig can be secured to marine platforms
to test overwater, a technique adopted when testing beneath the
River Thames, London.
On land, screw pickets are secured to the ground to provide the
reaction force for testing.
Performance Rates
Up to 70 m of standard CPTu testing can executed in a day
(dependent on site conditions and access).
This rig has integral levelling jacks and tie down
options, and can also be attached to a bespoke
static mounting frame for use with a cantilever or
truck.
This flexible mounting frame makes it ideal for
testing on overwater pontoons/jack-up platforms,
cantilever frames or via crane or kentledge.
This rig is ideal for shipping overseas, where it can
be mounted on the back of an in-country lorry, or
can be used standalone for cost effective CPTs.

The world’s first dedicated CPT rail truck, this rig can undertake
multiple tests within the track’s four-foot in a single possession.
Lankelma staff are PTS and OTP trained.
Network rail approved, the rig is self-contained on the tracks with
quick access and set up. The rig’s shaped profile is designed to
allow access in most UK tunnels.
Generally, the test will penetrate ballast without the need for
removal.
Performance Rates
An expected 100 to 120 m of standard CPTu testing can
executed in a single possession (dependent on site
