PREFACE
Coach Rehabilitation Workshop, Bhopal is a unique Workshop for the rehabilitation of coaches of INDIAN RAILWAYS. Its activities are focused towards corrosion repair & its prevention and total rehabilitation of body, under frame members. This involves modern gas/plasma cutting & welding of structural member followed by refurnishing of full coach once in the life. This workshop has IMS–Certification for quality, environment & safety. This workshop is awarded by golden peacock award for benchmark of Excellence worldwide and the highest accolade acclaimed in year 2005.
We are using all modern techniques in the repair of coaches like CO2 welding, plasma cutting, grit blasting of coaches, shot blasting of components & springs, DRDO Bio-tank arrangements in coaches etc. Technical Training Centre was recognized by Railway Board in the year 2005, with a purpose to enhance the potential of the newly recruited employees and to meet the immediate training need. Currently, Technical Training Centre is not only imparting training to CRWS employees but also sharing the responsibility of “Product based training” to all zonal railways & production units as per their requirements. Technical Training Centre is established within CRWS campus itself in its natural lush green and peaceful environment.
The center has number of qualified trainers, workshop, teaching-aid equipments, model room for accomplishing its aim and objectives. The center is doing the job of training since last fifteen years and with the co-operation and ideas / suggestions of its customers will continues on the path of progress and prosperity of INDIAN RAILWAY.
MISSION STATEMENT
“TO DEVELOP THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & WORKMENSHIP OF RAILWAY EMPLOYEES WHICH IMPROVES THE QUALITY, GOODWILL OF ORGANIZATION AND ALSO MOTIVATE THEM FOR INCREASING THE PRODUCTIVITY TO IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE INDIAN RAILWAYS.”
Infrastructure and facility
For effective training, there is a well equipped Model room, Workshop and a well furnished library duly furnished with related models and working models like - Stainless steel coach components installed for practical demonstration to the trainees. Sufficient Computers are available in Classrooms for the trainees. TTC has one LHB Model, where major and important components have been displayed. There are well furnished class rooms with multimedia LCD Projectors. TTC has an auditorium having seating capacity for 50 people. It is used for Seminars, Vocational training from different engineering collages.

Training Methodology
Modern teaching aids like LCD Projectors (audio-visual aid),
Computers, working models, Cut models, assemblies and components of ICF coach,. Besides class room, practical training is also imparted at shop floor. Entry & learning behavior analyzed by pre assessments is adjudged at the time of induction and all efforts are made to fulfill the learning requirements of the trainees. Performance of each trainee is evaluated at the end of the programme by post assessments. Exercises, group discussions & safety seminars are also organized from time to time.

Technical training centre CRWS / Bhopal is located at Bhopal, capital of M.P. It is approachable from Bhopal station at distance of 3.0 kms. The journey time is 10 to 15 Min. approximately. To reach TTC/CRWS/BPL, avail (Red Bus) City low floor Bus Route No. SR-8.

There is a well furnished library having more than 1200 books on various subjects like Technical, Management, Culture, Religion, Yoga, Literature and Applied trades. The soft copies of all technical pamphlets, manuals, Drawings are available for enhancement of knowledge of the trainees.

Special course for Indian Railway supervisor & Technician -
Refresher course for CRWS supervisor & Technician – List of all nominated Supervisor, Technicians & helper of CRWS BPL are sent to shop/section as per given calendar (these courses are only for CRWS staffs).
YOGA –
EVERY morning (from 7.00 am to 8.00 am), yoga classes for trainees, employees & their family members are organized at TTC Workshop. It enables stress free working, improve the quality & productivity & helps promoting balanced development of all spiritual, mental & physical health.

Model room is equipped with the various working & non-working models and cut models of various components for demonstration. Trainees/ apprentices are taken to Pit lines, Coach Maintenance depot and workshop for practical training & study various maintenance/ repair practices.
