Product Description Product Name: Needle marking machine for finger ring and bangle/bracelet Model: Ring Master Product Description: Specially designed for the marking and engraving of the inner and outer surface of finger ring.

1.1 Needle Marking Machine Function 1. Ring Master takes up a small working space for operation and suitable for space constraint shops and factories. It only needs 75W ultra-low power to operate thus lowering the operating cost.

2. The marking software, CosMark is easy to understand and use. The software uses TrueType fonts and most fonts which can be displayed on the computer. Ring Master is able to mark bold, italic, underlining fonts and monochrome bitmap picture.

3. Marking character size of 0.5mm for English and 1mm in Chinese.

4. 9 azimuth positioning system to ensure the accuracy of marking areas.

5. Marking intensity and marking depth can be adjusted thru the software or machine. The marking depth up to 0.3mm or more.

6. Able to do repeat marking and the repeat marking accuracy is up to 0.01mm. There will be no ghosting, wear and tear from repeated marking.

7. Ring Master can mark out shiny smooth text and logo which requires no additional polishing. Application Industry: Jewelry Industry

1.2 Control Software CosMark Overview 1.2.1 The requirements of software running Operating System Requirements: WINDOWS 98 and above Recommended Operating System: Windows XP. Computer Hardware Requirements: Any machine which can run WINDOWS 98 and above. 1.2.2 Driver Installation Load the Installation CD which is in the box. Open the [Driver] directory: Double click on the driver [setup.exe]

The window appears as shown below:

Click next, the driver will automatically install:

Click Finish to complete the driver installation.

Right-click on My Computer-->Properties--> Hardware -->Device Manager --> Ports

(COM & LPT) -> Prolific USB-to-Serial Com Port, as shown below:

See COM Port No. of Adapter Serial port to USB port. Computer is connected with Ring

Master Pin marking machine through the COM Port, and this COM Port will be different

because of the difference of the computer's USB COM Port.

1.2.3 Software Installation

Copy the “Cos Mark_ *** _CN” or the “Cos Mark_ *** _EN” folder to the computer when the software installation is completed. Cos Mark_Cn = Cos Mark Chinese Version Cos Mark_En = Cos Mark English Version Driver = Adapter Serial port to USB port Driver

1.2.4 Software Function

Fonts use: most computer standard fonts (note: Copy any additional fonts which are needed into WINDOWS/FONTS folder) For example: we want to use this font, we can do this:-

The software features:

• It supports bold, italic, underlining, etc. fonts and BMP monochrome images marking/engraving.

• Support rings and bracelet marking inside and outside the ring.

• It also can mark a variety of different diameter rings and bracelets. 1.2.5 Operation Interface

2.1.3 Fix ring with clamp (Optional)

1. Turn clamp follow Counter-Clockwise for release 2. Wear the ring inside the jig for marking insider 3. Wear the ring outside the jig for marking outsider 4. Turn Clamp follow Clockwise for hold If you want to change the clamp to hold ring and bangle (Optional), do this:

1. See hole in outsider screw ring. 2. Use corkscrew put into the hole between clamps 3. Turn corkscrew follow Counter-Clockwise for release. 4. Take off old jig and change new one 5. Turn corkscrew follow Clockwise for fasten Note: 1. Clamp for ring holder is standard 2. Clamp for bangle holder is optional

2.2 Notes 2.2.1 For First time Operation 1. Lubricate Spiral Adjust Diamond Head button with motor oil:

2. Check controlling handle can hold when open, if not Tighten Screw clutch where bottom of Adjust Diamond head button with wrench No.13:

3.2 Connection The power supply of this kind marking machine is AC 220V (110V optional)

3.3 Needle marking machine connected to the computer 3.3.1 Select COM port number 1. Open Cos Mark Software. 2. Setup Com number same with Port No. of Adapter Serial port to USB port that you see in Device Manager:

Press “Connect” Note: If connection is still unsuccessful, replace the computer's USB port to try it again or restart the software (you should close the old one and then open a new one) if it's still open COM port fail, the reason can be of the computer. Please try the connection on a different computer. 3.3.3 Open power supply The [Machine Connecting Status] is [Disconnect] before open the machine power:

Chapter 4 Font editing and marking operation 1. Gauge your Ring Diameter and input in Ring Diameter. 2. Choose Mark Direction inside or outside marking that you need. 3. Setup your Font Size that you need. 4. Input wording in the space. 5. Choose Font Style, size, format. 6. Press “Enter” 7. See layout of Marking 8. Setup Marking Area 9. Adjust with Edge Size 10. It will be marked 40 points in the 3mm height, but there are only 30 points in the 3mm height in fact:

Because the 40 points is a similar figure which the computer gives, the exact figures are 30 points which the needle marking machine will be marking.

Chapter 6: Trouble shooting Problem 1: Computer can’t install adapter driver

Solution: Make sure do you Connect USB Port Make sure do you install properly Driver Go to CD-Rom → Driver Folder → Remove_old_driver.exe to uninstall all driver conflict. Install “Setup.exe”

Problem 2: Machine Connecting Status “Disconnect”

Solution: Make sure you choose correct COM Port Go to my computer → properties → Hardware → Device Manager
