Principal Simmons Says… As we close out 2017 and begin a new year, it becomes a time of reflection for

all of us. Creston Intermediate Academy students and staff had an amazing

first semester! We've had so many successes. Personalized learning is

established in classrooms by integrating digital content, daily target

instruction, student reflection and ownership of their data and making data-

driven decisions to improve and personalize student academic

achievement. 61% of our students met their projected middle of the year

NWEA goals in math. 61% met their projected reading goals and 60% met

their language goals. Our Spellbowl team won our Warren Township district

competition! Our Robotics teams are rocking their Vex competitions and

striving to qualify for State again this year. In our classes, students are

creating print designs. CIA's talented choir performed at Treefest. These are

just a few of the many outstanding activities taking place

at CIA.

I am very proud of Creston Intermediate Academy

students and staff. I hope each and every one of you have

the happiest of holidays to relax and enjoy time with

family and friends.

INDIANA SENATE PAGE PROGRAM

Did you know you can take a day off from school to serve as a page for the Indiana Senate? State Senator Aaron Freeman invites students in grades 6-12 to come to the Statehouse and spend an exciting day seeing our state government in action. You will have the opportunity to tour the Statehouse, meet Senator Freeman, and observe the legislative session from the Senate floor. Siblings and friends can sign up together, too!
