Day 1 ~ Dublin Tour & Guinness Storehouse
Upon arrival we’ll transfer to our hotel and start with a tour of
Dublin with our local guide to see elegant Georgian squares with
the famous brightly painted doors and the peaceful St. Stephen’s
Green. Cross the River Liffey to O’Connell St and view the General
Post Office (GPO) where the 1916 uprising started and pause to
view the solemn figures of the Famine Memorial. Then it’s onto to
the Guinness Storehouse to explore the many exhibition ending in
the rooftop bar with a creamy pint of stout. After lunch we’ll check
in to our hotel where we’ll meet for a welcome drink to review our itinerary and you are free for dinner to-
night; Ryan’s of Parkgate Street, a traditional Victorian pub is beside the hotel and the lively Temple Bar
area is within easy reach….great start to experiencing Ireland on our first day!

Day 2 ~Irish National Stud & Medieval Kilkenny (B/D)
Today starts with a stop in Kildare to visit the Irish National Stud;
where we’ll see some of the finest stallions and learn about breeding.
We’ll walk the charming Japanese Gardens; created to portray life
from birth to death. Once we arrive in Kilkenny the afternoon is ours
to enjoy. Kilkenny is a fun place to explore; you may even like to tour
Kilkenny Castle, shop at the Kilkenny Design Workshop or have a
drink at Kyteler’s Inn, a tavern established by a reputed witch in 1324.

Day 3 ~ Waterford Crystal & Blarney Castle (B/D)
Today’s voyage starts with a drive south to the ancient port of
Waterford to visit the House of Waterford Crystal and see
how skilled craftspeople transform molten glass into elegant
tableware and magnificent trophies of all types. Our drive
continues along the south coast to Blarney Castle with a
climb to the ramparts to kiss the ‘Stone of Eloquence’. Enjoy
some free time for shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills or
take a break in the pub hidden between the shops. Tonight
you may like to explore some of the lively pubs & Irish music.

Day 4 ~ Ring of Kerry Tour & Pub Dinner (B/D)
Embark on County Kerry’s popular scenic drive with Ireland’s
highest mountains on one side and Atlantic coastline on the
other; every turn reveals new vista’s of mountains, cliffs and
beaches. During our Skellig experience we’ll learn about early
Christian monks who braved harsh existence on the rocky off-
shore islands. Around the peninsula we’ll have stops in the
attractive village of Sneem and at Moll’s Gap for views of the
Three Lakes of Killarney. We’ll also stop for a stroll through
Muckross House & Gardens and visit the Abbey founded in the
15th Century. Tonight we’ll drive to Kate Kearney’s Cottage for
dinner and traditional Irish entertainment with songs & dances.
Day 5 ~ Cliffs of Moher & Connemara (B/D)
Today starts with a short ferry ride across the wide River Shannon
Estuary. View the Cliffs of Moher that rise to heights of almost
700ft above churning Atlantic swells, pass through the Burren,
around the shores of Galway Bay and through the lovely scenery
of the Connemara region. Pass hills, little lakes and open country
where mountain sheep roam freely. Stop in Leenane (renowned
as the location of the movie ‘The Field’), and continue to West-
port, an attractive estate town built in 1780. Westport is a great
town with lots of interesting shops and traditional pubs, many
with live music for you to enjoy.

Day 6 ~ Achill Island Excursion & Westport House (B/D)
Visit Westport House, and 18th century mansion overlooking the
Atlantic Ocean and Achill Island; see stunning room with priceless
furnishings, paintings, books, silver and Waterford Crystal. We’ll
continue with a drive around Clew Bay to Achill Island, joined to
the mainland by bridge to capture the wonderful views of steeply-
sloped mountains plunging in the Atlantic Ocean. Near Slievemore
see the Deserted Village; the remains of nearly 100 stone cottages
abandoned around the time of the 1840’s Famine.

Day 7 ~ Strokestown House & Cabra Castle (B/D)
Today it’s Strokestown Park House in County Roscommon;
there are three parts to see; the 18th Century mansion with its
original furnishings, the four-acre walled garden (restored to
look as it would in the estates heyday), and the Famine Muse-
um which explains the circumstances of the 1840’s Famine
through a combination of original documents and images.

Day 8 ~ Dublin City Tour & Jameson (B)
Today we’ll travel south to enjoy another tour of Dublin’s
more famous sights. Visit Trinity College Library and the
Book of Kells exhibition, followed by a tour around Jame-
son Old Distillery to see Whisky production techniques
and enjoy a drink of the finished product. After some
relaxation, head to Dublin Mountains for an evening of
dinner, music & entertainment at he world famous John-
nie Fox’s Pub.
