Risk Management　The Mitsubishi Paper Mills Group believes that it is important to properly manage the various risks that arise in conducting business in order to achieve corporate growth and improve corporate value.

　We closely examine and manage business environment risks, risks that arise from our business activities, and other risks, from a multilateral viewpoint.

　We are currently working to bolster our risk management structure, which includes the involvement of affiliated companies, with a focus on preparing a risk management structure and improving our risk matrix as part of Group management.

Relationship with Stakeholders　To provide our stakeholders with a better understanding of Mitsubishi Paper Mills Group’ s business activities, we are committed to strong communication and proper disclosure of information. 　Maintaining robust communication through our investor relations activities ensures that we carry out high quality initiatives aimed at improving corporate value.

◆ Preparing a Crisis Management Manual (revised January 2016)

　Along with preparing communications equipment for maintaining contact in emergencies, we have revised our Crisis Management Manual and are finalizing our contact system.

◆ Preparing Information Management Regulations　 (created March 2016)

　Companies have the need to properly use, protect, and dispose of the information they handle, which includes personal information and trade secrets.

　To ensure robust information management, we have reviewed our management policy from a holistic perspective and have prepared a guideline for the handling of information along with establishing the Information Management Rules.

◆Addressing major risks　We ensure conduct that complies with the law and is in accordance with corporate ethics with respect to the following major risks.

◆Drafting business continuity plans (BCP)　To strengthen the trust placed in us by our stakeholders, the Mitsubishi Paper Mills Group believes it is essential to improve its ability to respond to emergencies.

　We will put in place an effective risk management structure informed by our experiences in recovery activities for damage caused by the Hanshin-Awaji and Great East Japan earthquakes.

◆Dialogue with stakeholders

Communication with shareholders　To ensure that shareholders have sufficient time to consider the agenda for general meetings of shareholders, we announce and mail out convocation notices early (an online announcement is made 27 days prior to the meeting date, and notices are mailed out 25 days prior to the meeting date), and notices are also translated into English. 　At general meetings of shareholders, we make every effort to ensure shareholders come away with a better understanding of the Mitsubishi Paper Mills Group. This includes incorporating video to ensure information is conveyed plainly, and allotting ample time for questions and answers with shareholders.
