Slivovitz (plum brandy) is an exquisite alcoholic beverage that has been produced for centuries mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. It is so typical for Bohemia and Moravia that it can be called, with only slight exaggeration, a national drink and ex-port silver.

You have the unique opportunity to learn more about its origins and development in the R. JELÍNEK Slivovitz Museum. You can enjoy a screening, realistic exhibits and an exclusive 5D experi-ence with virtual reality.

The interactive exhibition offers you an unforgettable experi-ence from the production of fruit spirits from around the world, including the history of distillation in Vizovice, Wallachia and the fates of the families involved in it.

Bohemia Honey

The story of the original Gold Cock Czech whisky started in 1969 in a former brewery in Těšetice near Olomouc. Our goal is to continue this tradition and preserve what makes our whisky unique.

The single malt whisky produced by R. JELÍNEK comes from Moravi-an barley malted in the renowned Bruntál malt house using peat from the St. Sebastian Mountain and local spring water. It is aged in new and strongly scorched barrels made of Czech oak.

It is distilled in modern Arnold Hol-stein boilers. We feel that this com-bination of the new and the old is the best way to maintain the qualities of Gold Cock Whisky.

The 49.2% alcohol content corre-sponds to the latitude where the premises of the RUDOLF JELÍNEK distillery are located.

VIZOVICE SLIVOVITZ An exceptional product offered by RUDOLF JELÍNEK is Vizovice Slivovitz (plum brandy). The company is returning to its roots with this edition, the tradition of cultivating plums in the orchards of this region. More than 100 years ago there were approxi-mately 70,000 fruit trees growing in Vizovice.

In 2003, the company decided to follow this

orchards. Now there are more than 23,000 plum trees growing on 60 hectares of land.

Kosher spirits are produced in accordance with the Jewish faith. No ingredients, equipment or procedures that contradict the tenets of the Jewish religion are used in production. Each stage of production is personally overseen by a rabbi.


The main purpose of the Visitor Center in Vizovice is to bring the tradition and art of converting fruit into quality spirits to the ge-neral public and introduce them to the original “factory” whe-re the methods of traditional production and state-of-the-art technology are combined.
