Academic advisors understand the unique needs of a transfer student. Rivier’s advisors meet with transfer students one-on-one to assist with registration for fall courses starting in May and for spring course registration in mid-November.Once a transfer student has deposited for fall or spring:

• A member of the Office of Academic Advising will contact the student to schedule an appointment to review the transfer credit evaluation.

• The student will be assisted in developing an academic plan for degree completion and registering for the coming semester.

• Transfer students participate in a one-on-one Transfer Orientation where they are met with individually, and provided with an email account, student ID, and parking pass, as well as information about other campus resources.

Rivier recognizes that transfer students already know how to navigate college life; therefore, an individualized experience focuses on the needs of the student and getting answers and information quickly.
