We like to play games to minimize boredom and electronic time in the car. Plus it helps us work on our awareness and see the world around us in a new light!

HERE ARE SOME GREAT ROAD TRIP GAME IDEAS!

1) Alphabet Game1) There are many ways to play this game. The main idea is to find letters

on Signs and Billboards in alphabetical order. 1) Variation One: This is the easiest version. You must find a letter,

doesn’t matter where in the word it is, but it must be found in alphabetical order. Only one person can use a letter from any word. For example, Christopher finds A in Applebees, but Kat can use the B in Applebees.

2) Variation Two: Harder, but more challenging and keeps the game playing for longer. You must find a word that starts with the letter, two people cannot use the same word from the same sign. (You can both use Quality Inn for Q, but it can’t be from the same sign at the same time.)

2) Count the Alexander Shunnarah or Morris Bart Signs1) We play this on trips and we have contests like, whoever finds the

mosts gets to choose where we eat dinner or what music we listen to, etc.

3) Scavenger Hunt1) The SCS Scavenger Hunt starts the moment you leave your house! See

how many points you can get before you reach Orlando!4) License Plate Game

1) It’s always fun to see how many license plates from different states there are. I’ve attached a checklist!

5) All know-it-alls will spark some fierce competition if you play "The Alphabet Categories."1) The Game:• This is NOT the road sign game; you name things in

alphabetical order from a category2) The Rules:

1) • You start with a category like food, bands, cars, etc.2) • You start with A and travel down the alphabet3) • You can get as specific with your categories as you want

6) For all the walking encyclopedias, play "The Name Game.”1) The Game: Connect first and last names of famous people2) The rules:

1) • Start with the name of anyone famous (besides yourself, duh...)2) • The next person has to say a person whose first name starts with

the letter of the previous last name3) • If somebody mentions a person where both the first and last name

start with the same letter, the game reverses in order (e.g., Bob Barker, Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore, etc.)

4) Examples:1) • Tom Brady2) • Billy Joel3) • Janet Jackson (reverse order because it’s a double J!)4) • John Oliver5) • etc.

7) For the aspiring DJs in your car:1) Battle of the Bands

1) Choose a category, for example, Love Songs, then play a section of two love songs and then vote which one is best. This often sparks a trip down memory lane or some fun trivia when we start doing music stuff!

2) Name that Tune1) Plug in your phone and hit shuffle on your playlist, see who can name

the song, artist or both the fastest. Make sure to cover your screen so there’s no cheating!

3) Sing A Long! 1) Sing along with your favorite road trip songs or2) Make it a Disney version!

4) If you are looking for an easy laugh, play "Cows on My Side.”1) The Game: Holler when you see a cow!2) The Rules:3) • When you see a cow on your side of the road, you have to yell,

"Cows on my side!"4) • Every time you call a cow, you get a point5) • If you see cows on the other side you say, "Cows on your side!"6) • If you call, "Cows on your side," before the person sees them, you

steal a point7) • If anyone sees a cemetery they scream, "Ghost cow," stealing all the

other side's points
