Robert Goldszer, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer joined the Medical Center in May 2008. His focus is on quality of patient care, education, and innovative research. Dr. Goldszer is one of the executive sponsors of many quality improvement programs and our electronic health records at the Medical Center. From 1979 to 2008, Dr. Goldszer was a full time faculty member at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the associate Chief Medical Officer from 1999-2008 responsible for implementations of strategic quality of care programs. Dr. Goldszer holds an appointment as Clinical Professor of Medicine at Florida International University College of Medicine, Miami, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1972, received his medical degree and internal medicine residency training from Drexel/Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1979 and completed his renal fellowship at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston in 1982. In June 1999, he received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Boston University's Executive MBA Program and was elected to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society for Business Students. Dr Goldszer has two daughters and lives in Coral Gables with his wife Madi and their two dogs. He has been a member of Temple Judea since moving to Florida in 2008.
