SUMMARYContract Manager

Contract Manager assigned to Kaiser Permanente National Facilities Services Capital Projects -Provide management and administration of construction contracts and proposals for the Kaiser Permanente National Facilities Services (NFS) organizations involved in construction of new and/or retrofit hospital buildings and other medical facilities. Responsible for construction contract formation, contract administration and change order management activities for all architect/engineering and construction contracts related to a $3 plus billion dollars per year capital spending program.

Understanding various trade support areas, custodial, HVAC, construction, carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, electrical, and equipment maintenance.

Reviewing solicitations and preparing routine

responses for proposals, bids and contract modifications

Performing contract closeout activities

Analyzing contract requirements, special provisions, terms and

conditions to determine compliance with appropriate laws,

regulations, corporate policies and NFS

procedures

Preparing and administrating routine

correspondence, negotiation memoranda

and contract documenting contract performance and

compliance.

Conducting research to

support contract audit and/or facilities NFS contracting

trends

Communicating contract policy and practice to NFS project teams.

Effectively building/maintaining working partnerships with internal and external

stakeholders.

Assisting mid to high-level contract professionals in working with internal or

external project teams on issues and developments

relative to assigned contracts

Directing and conversing technically with engineers and

architects regarding utility systems and the operation, maintenance, design and

construction of the various building types.

Leading and managing a complex organization, providing effective

oversight and guidance of operational, personnel management and

administrative matters.
