Grant Funding

1) R01-AR063144-01A1 – 7/1/13-6/30/18 - $250,000 per year – Role: Co-Investigator

“Targeting removal of aggrecan rich deposits to promote healing of tendinopathies” The long-term objective of this project is to advance our understanding of the mechanical

(overuse and disuse) and biological mechanisms underlying the pathobiology of

tendinopathy. Successful identification of molecular targets in in vivo models will

provide the basis for development of novel therapeutic regimes to treat these

musculoskeltal diseases.

2) American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand Young Investigator Grant –

11/1/13-10/31/14 - $25,000 for one year – Role: PI

“Epigenetic Markers for ADAMTS5 Functionality in Tendinopathy” We hypothesise that epigentic analyses of the methylation pattern of the ADAMTS5

promoter will distinguish normal from tendinopathic tendons in both our novel murine

model of tendinpathy and in human epicondylitis.
