FeaturesNon-clog designThe recessed vortex impeller leaves a wideunobstructed passage through the volute in which astrong vortex is created that carries most of the abrasi-ves. Blockages are hardly possible, even when fibrousmaterials are included, as these materials are thrownaway from the radial blade edges and cannot hookonto the impeller.

Wear resistant Ni Hard 4 - constant highperformanceNatural low wear is experienced in vortex pumps asmost abrasives pass in front of the impeller withouteven touching it. Wear is further reduced by using NiHard 4 for all hydraulic components. Ni Hard 4 isharder than silica and quartz sand and can withstandshock impacts by rocks. As the impeller does not relyon narrow clearances for high performance, wear willhave little effect on the output, resulting in constanthigh performance over a long period. As the wearpattern will be evenly spread over the impeller,exessive vibration is avoided.

No adjustments - low maintenanceThe absence of narrow clearanceseliminates jamming problemscompletely and avoides sudden dropsin performance. No re-adjustmentsare required to restore performance atdesign level. This ensures reliable,trouble free operation with minimummaintenance and costs.

Agitator for highest densityThe optional agitator is mounted just below the intake opening and feeds the impeller with high density material. This in combination with thestrong vortex that is created by the impeller justunderneath the pump leads to unmatched high solidconcentrations. Oversized solids are thrown away fromthe suction opening, preventing accumulation of solidsthat would impair performance.

Low weight - easy handlingLong life in the Robot RD pumps is not achieved byreducing the speed and offering additionally sacrificingmaterial, but merely by selecting the superior wearresistant Ni Hard 4 for all hydraulic components.This reduces weight and makes the pumps easier tohandle.

RD-Slurry PumpsThe Robot wear resistant submersible vortex pumpsare designed for the continuous transport of highlyabrasive solids. During many years they have proved tobe cost effective and most reliable under most extremeworking conditions.

The natural low wear figures as experienced in vortexpumps and the limited effect of wear on the pump’soutput in combination with the absence of wear ringsthat could impair performance leads to unmatched longterm constant high performance with minimal down-time for maintenance. The Robot RD pumps offer low

weight as the selection of the superior Ni Hard 4 wearresistant material does not demand low operating speedsand additionally sacrificing material to achieve long lifebetween service intervals. Optionally, many pumps can be fitted with an agitatorthat further increases the density of the pumpedmixture.

For the most severe and rough conditions the specialdredge version features cable and shaft seal replacementwithout actually opening the hermetically sealed motor.
