THINK "Inside" of the Box
Think of a robot you’d like to
build. What features will your
robot have? Choose the right
sensors and actuators.
Program and Debug
Run your program. If your code
is right, your electronics will run
as you programmed. However,
if there's any programming
bug, don't panic, it will be
noted in the Virtual Robot on
the righthand side. The Virtual
Robot provides real t ime
feedback, resulting in quick and
easy debugging.
Build and Calibrate

skeleton with parts from the
Build Box and the Connect
Box. Reprogram your robot
with adjusted data, and then
your robot is ready to go!
CONNECT the Hardware and the Software
Connect all electronics to your

board, and connect the board
to your laptop through a USB
c a b l e . T h r o u g h R o b o C o r e ,
you can program the robot in
CastleRock IDE with C++. Start
CastleRock Free Mode; now it is
time to program your robot. Use
“EVENTS” and “COMMANDS” in
the roboterra.com/castlerock, and
write your program.

The Roboterrian’s Oath of ExcellenceI will dare to try something new.I will bring enthusiasm to robotics. I will learn to explore, and explore to learn. I will strive not for perfection, but for progress.I will meet my mistakes with resilience and grit.I will never underestimate the power of curiosity.I will never underestimate the power of persistence.I will respect the work of innovators who have come before me.I will respect others’ mistakes as progress toward a greater good.I will treat other robotics enthusiasts not as competitors, but as companions. Through hard work and determination, I will innovate for those who come after me. I will promote the spread of robotics with my actions, with my attitude, and with my mind.

Robotics possesses a wealth of educational value on its own, but only when paired with the right intangibles can robotics drive STEM innovation. When students apply their own creativity, ingenuity, persistence, and enthusiasm to their work, they build more than just a robot; they contribute to a developing STEM field. ROBOTERRA’s educational vision is not only to put high-quality robotics in the hands of young learners, but also to drive the development of robotics as a pillar of STEM.
