From the school counselor: Hello again! I wanted to share a few more wonderful tips! Tips to Help get Children to Listen, Most of the Time. 1) Kneel Down at their level Making sure when you are speaking with a girl you are down at her level (face to face) and if you are speaking with a boy that you are shoulder to shoulder (next to them). The difference being that girls feel a connection when you face them at their level and boys feel a connection when you are next to them. 2) Let it go Yes, let it go. Once you have spoken to your child about the prob- lem go have fun with them. It shows forgiveness. 3) Practice listening to them That means putting down whatever you are doing and listening to them. The Media Center has been an exciting place! Our Primary students have been learning and reviewing the different parts of a book, exploring digital libraries, and weve shared some amazing stories. We read the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and completed a Makerspace activity in which students created their own master- pieces on paper by starting with just a dot. Stop by the Media Center and check out their fantastic creations! The Intermediate students have been learning about book awards and created their own accounts for the My Quest online book club. We read the book Rosie Revere Engineer by Andrea Beaty and will be working as part of a team on a Makerspace activity to create a glider that goes along with the story. ¡ Hola y saludos de nuevo ! Quiero compartir algunos otros consejos.

Consejos para ayudar a los niños a escuchar mejor, por lo menos,

la mayor del tiempo... 1) Arrodillese con ellos para estar en el mismo nivel

Asegúrese que cuando hable con una niña está en su nivel (cara a cara)

y si hable con un niño está espalda a espalda (cerca de él). La diferencia

en su estrategía es porque, las niñas sienten una conexión cuando les

mire desde el mismo nivel, y los niños sienten una conexión cuando está acerca de ellos.

2) Dejalo ir

Sí, dejalo ir. Después de haber hablado con su hijo, vaya y diviértase

con ellos. Esto demuestra el perdón. 3) Pratique escuchar a ellos.

Esto significa pararse de todo lo que est ☻á haciendo y escuchándolos

bien. Esto los ayudara a desallorar las habilidades de escuchar .

Noticias de la Señora Rach-bibliotecaria de Robson ¡ Es difícil creer que ya estamos en noviembre! ¡La biblioteca ha sido un lugar bien emocionante! Nuestros estudiantes de kinder hasta 3 grado han estado aprendiendo y repasando diferentes partes de los libros, explorando bibliotecas digitales y hemos compartido algunos cuentos increíbles. Hemos leído el libro The Dot de Peter H. Reynolds y completamos una actividad “Makerspace” la cual los estudiantes crearon sus proprias obras de arte, empezando con solo una manchita. ¡ Pasen por la biblioteca y echen un vistazo a sus creaciones sensacionales! Los estudiantes de 4º hasta 6º grado han estado aprendiendo de los tipos de premios para libros y crearon sus proprias cuentas “My Quest”, club de lectura en línea. Hemos leído el libro Rosie Revere Engineer de Andrea Beaty y trabajaremos en equipo para completar una actividad “Makerspace”. Crearemos un planeador que va junto al cuento.

¡Necesitamos su ayuda! Estamos solicitando la ayuda y apoyo de los padres en el área de asisten-

cia escolar diaria. Es muy importante que su hijo/hija este en la escuela

durante todo el día escolar. Para lograr este objetivo, les solicitamos lo

siguiente:

Ayúdenos a disminuir la cantidad de tardanzas, haciendo que su

hijo/hija llegue puntualmente a la escuela.

Ayúdenos a disminuir la cantidad de alumnos que salen de la

escuela más temprano durante el día escolar.

Cuando los niños llegan tarde a la escuela, son ausentes, o salen más

temprano, dejan de recibir parte de la enseñanza que es fundamental.

La buena asistencia es un factor determinante en el éxito y logros del

alumno. ¡Agradecemos su colaboración al enviar a los niños a la escuela

puntualmente, todo día y todos los días!
