ROCK EISTEDDFOD PROGRESS REPORT I am very pleased to say that our 2007 Rock
Eisteddfod entry is looking extremely good. The performers are working very well as a team and the finale has now been
fully completed and we are working on individual scenes.
Once these sections have been perfected we then move onto
the very important stage of linking all scenes to produce our
final product for presentation.
Our backstage team has also been hard at work creating our
spectacular props and sets. This year we have used some
incredibly vibrant colours that really make the art work stand out. I think the judges will be impressed with the detail in our
major sets.
Our costume committee has been meeting on a regular basis in order to develop original ensembles for our vast
range of characters, I'm sure the final products will be
outstanding as usual. These combined with our very inventive
hair and make up creations should once again show the
amazing amount of talent in the Rock Eisteddfod team.
Our Sponsorship Committee have also been very busy. It
looks like this will be our most successful year ever with
several new local traders taking up the offer to be acknowledged in our sponsorship booklet. Our entire team
has been working very hard in an attempt to further improve
on our excellent results in 2006. Should anyone wish to
assist in any of the areas listed above please contact me at
the college on 9438 1411 or simply drop by on Sundays
from 9.30am - 12 noon.
The Heats will be held at Vodafone Arena on Friday 3 August
and the Finals will be held at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday
13 September. I will provide information regarding ticket sales through the Newsletter and the Daily Bulletin as soon
as the details are provided to me by the Rock Challenge
Office. Many thanks to everyone in the team for their effort
and support so far.

Yes we have started all over again! We are all ready to better
our wonderful performance of last year, but we need all the help we can get. I would like to invite all interested parents,
friends and students to come along and help with costumes
this year.
It is not necessary to have sewing experience, just a willingness to have fun, talk and get a behind the scenes look
at how it all works. We meet each Sunday morning whilst the
students are rehearsing and use the school facilities. We
even provide morning tea. We look forward to seeing
everyone who would like to help. Lisa DowerLisa DowerLisa DowerLisa Dower
