ROCK FACES Happy, scary, funny, silly… create a whole family of faces with the rocks and pebbles you find. Draw or paint lots of different 'face' element shapes onto the rocks. Noses, eyes, mouths etc. We made pairs of each shape. Now play and make some funny faces! We made all the face shape elements quite simple so you can use the different shapes in many ways. This was also a great acvity to spark a conversaon about facial expressions and emoons. We had so much fun making all these fun rock faces! We used acrylic paint to paint our shapes onto the rocks. Once dry used permanent pens to do the outline. If using other materials like chalk markers, which will rub off, you could either cover them with varnish or use permanent acrylic paints. You will need: smooth pebbles permanent pens or acrylic paints chalk markers and varnish (oponal)

ROCK FACES Happy, scary, funny, silly… create a whole family of faces with the rocks and pebbles you find.

Draw or paint lots of different 'face' element shapes

onto the rocks. Noses, eyes, mouths etc. We made pairs

of each shape. Now play and make some funny faces!

We made all the face shape elements quite simple so

you can use the different shapes in many ways. This was

also a great activity to spark a conversation about facial expressions and emotions. We had so much fun making

all these fun rock faces!

We used acrylic paint to paint our shapes onto the

rocks. Once dry used permanent pens to do the

outline. If using other materials like chalk markers, which will rub off, you could either cover them with

varnish or use permanent acrylic paints.

You will need:

smooth pebbles permanent pens or acrylic paints

chalk markers and varnish (optional)
