Notes from Pastors
Well after a bit of a break, we are back up and running with the
newsletter. Please note that this will be a quarterly production so be sure
to look everything over, but also be diligent to check the website and the
calendar posted there as it should be up to date with the most current
changes and additions. It won’t be long before graduation parties will be
taking place as school is out for the summer. Take note of the many
activities that are planned and be sure to participate when you can. You
will be blest! Enjoy the new format of the newsletter and all that is
inside!
Blessings and Peace,

2010 is going to be a year to remember. I am so excited to be a part
of what God is doing at Rocklane Christian Church. Over the past few
months I have seen lives changed, people encouraged, friendships formed
and the family of God grow. My hope for 2010 is that worship for you
and me will become the foundation of who we are. One of the ways I am
pursuing this is through a journey that I am calling “90 days later.”
Starting June 1st I am going to ask that you join with me as we read
through the entire Bible in 90 days. Join me as we transform the
foundation of our faith. (See Luke 6:46-49) See the comments, questions
and answers found on our journey at www.90dayslater.wordpress.com
Thank you for your support,
James Davis
Thank You! To all who worked

Convention
Volunteer Room
Rocklane is in charge of the
Volunteer Room during the
convention, a simple but im-
portant assignment! We’ll be
providing a comfortable room
for volunteers from all over the
convention to stop by, sit a
spell, have a snack and just
take it easy for a few minutes
before, during, or after their
shifts.
What we need from you are
two things: cookies and your
time. We’re in need of over 64
man-hours and a bazillion
cookies (just an estimate)!
Each one signing up to help
with the Volunteer Room re-ceives a free registration for the convention (a $75 value) and a ―Serving the Servants‖ t-shirt. The free registration gives you access to the entire convention!
Grab one of the NACC bro-
chures and check out all the
exciting events. Choose what
you want to attend, then
schedule your time in the Vol-
unteer Room accordingly! It’s
going to be a great conven-
tion!
Sign up begins immediately at
the Welcome Center!

brook or Missy Suttles
As we end our fall and winter seasons
of children’s activities and now focus
on planning a great Vacation Bible
School in June, I want to thank all of
you who helped make our Wednesday
evenings great. Your faithfulness in
serving blessed us and helped in grow-
ing God’s Kingdom. I also want to
thank all who donated to the Easter
Egg Hunt by giving candy and stuffing
eggs. Your support is appreciated.
This season for M.O.P.S.
is coming to a close with
just three meetings left!
For those of you that are
unfamiliar with M.O.P.S.
it stands for Mothers of
Preschoolers and is a
group that is designed
to offer support, growth,
and relationships for
moms.
We’ve had a few new
moms join our group
recently and are always
welcoming new faces!
Each meeting promises a
time for fellowship, a
speaker or activity, and
excellent childcare by
our MOPPET volunteers.
We will have a few eve-
ning and day outings
planned for the summer
also.
If anyone would like to
find out more about
M.O.P.S please contact
Crystal Brown 317-432-
8287.
Moppets
Do you have a heart for
children? Do you desire to encourage moms who desperately need it? If you answered YES, please call to volunteer (Crystal Brown 317-432-8287).
MOPS (Mothers of Pre-
schoolers) helps mothers
of young children
(newborn through kinder-
garten) experience
authentic community and
God’s love through
relationships and resources. Put on your softest clothes
for snuggling and support
this ministry to mothers of
preschoolers.
You can make a
Difference.

Rocklane Christian Church
Heritage Founded April 14, 1846
The Women’s Ministry wants to gather in-
formation to fill in some gaps of RCC’s heri-
tage from 1846 up to 2010. Our goal is to
have this ready for you at this year’s Har-
vest Dinner in November. Will you help?
We are looking for photos and condensed
information on notable happenings of this
church. Can you think of anything that
would be notable: building/grounds im-
provements, pastors–past and present,
events/activities, or funny stories? Items
submitted will be edited for wording and
space availability.
A box will be at the Welcome Center to drop
off your recollections and photos; or you
may provide them directly to Sonna
Kemper, Missy Suttles, or Shirley Kirkham.
Please put your photos in a labeled enve-
lope so they may be returned to you in the
same condition as they were loaned. If you
have questions or comments, you may call
Sonna at 862-3425.
The Media Team will be working with the
above committee in a group effort to make
this something you will enjoy. I want to
thank everyone in advance for their help
and enthusiasm on this project.

What Do You Know About Cults?
Are You Searching for Truth?
On Thursday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m.
Rocklane Christian Church Sanctuary
Augusta Harting from
Families Against Cults of Indiana
will present information on cults:
Mormons, New Age, Muslims, and
Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Hartings both
held trusted positions in Mormonism for
15 years. In 1981, the Lord graciously
opened their eyes to Mormon deceptions
and they became Christians. They have
been helping others escape from cults
ever since, as well as warning Christians
and equipping them to witness
Christ to cultists.
