The small town of Rockwood offers trail services in a big way. Whether on a day trip or an end-to-end adventure, you will find what you need at the trail access or just across the bridge along Main Street.

Trekkers passing through can take advantage of the bike shop for repairs, find places for hometown dining, or replenish supplies at a dollar store. Spend the night at one of several bed and breakfasts, a guesthouse, a hostel, or a campground right along the trail.

Verizon cellphone service is available in Rockwood. As you ride east, stop at the viewing platform overlooking the town, then travel on to Wymp’s Gap Fossil Quarry to collect a few souvenirs. Or keep going to the scenic Salisbury Viaduct, just 10 miles away.

Best of all, Rockwood is easily reached from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Whether you exit at Donegal (Exit 91) or Somerset (Exit 110), it’s an easy drive to Rockwood.
