Jones returned home last week from Hot Springs, Ark., where he has been taking treat- ments. Mr. Peanut Edwards and a friend of Duke College spent the week-end here. The foot ball fans went to Dur- ham Saturday to see the Duke- State game. Miss Hazel Fisher entertained a few of her friends at her home Friday night. Dancing was enjoy- ed. Then she served the refresh- ments. We are glad to say Mrs. C. W. Wynne is recovering after a few days of illness. All members of the school fac- ulty went home for the holidays. Miss Tempie Ellen of Washing- ton, D. C., and her friends were home for a few days. The faculty of Red Oak School gave a play last Tuesday night, "Home Ties." It was enjoyed by a large audience. The funds are to go on the new gym. Mrs. L. D. Bulluck has return- ed from Danville, Va., where she spent the holiday's as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hess. Miss Jocile Daniel has returned to Converse College in Spartan- burg, S. C., after spending the , * holidays here with her mother, Mrs. J. H. Daniel. The many friends of Miss Yet- tie Bulluck will be glad to learn that she is improving following » an illness. Miss Lizzie Winstead and Miss Martha Gupton have returned the holidays with Dr. and Mrs. from Salisbury where they spent Carlton. Mr. Frank Longest has returned to U. N. C., at Chapel Hill after spending the holidays here with his parents. Miss Dorothy Burroughs spent last week-end in Bethel. The many friends of Mrs. R. T. Fountain will be glad to learn that she is improving following » an operation at the Rocky Mount Sanatarium.
