Dick Febis of The Villages Morning Club introduces our Speaker
of the day, Ruth Bowing of The Florida Hospital. Her talk was on
the Cleft Pallet and cleft lip program that we help sponsor
through our contributions to the District Grant Program. A heart
rendering program that helps to save children of Mexico
through surgery and training by local medical and Florida hos-
pital personnel . This program not only helps the children but
trains the local medical staff in the process, thus insuring con-
tinuing follow up for post surgical needs. This is our District
Grant money at work. On the next page you can see some of the
results.. President Ray passes on our cup of thanks to Ms Bow-
ing. To be continued page 2.

Your Global Grants money helps to supply the local Oral and Plastic surgeons with the sup-
plies needed to follow up on these children. The are so over whelmed with children that
the receive local Roteract help in the processing over 100 cases and their families , some
of these people travel for days on foot and by rickety bus to get help. The children are
shunned by society and some are even shunned by their own families. With cleft paletts
they are barely able to take in nourishment. They work is demanding and to top it all of
they feed the families and the local hospital even built shelters for them to stay In.
Through this program Rotary Changes children's lives forever

The Four Way Test
Of the things
We think say or do
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all con-
cerned?
3. Will it build goodwill
and better Friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to
all concerned?
5. Will it be FUN?

meeting, go ahead, that gives the rest of us a better chance to win.
There are only 25 cards on the table, that is all that is left be-
tween you and the pot. Today the draw was not the Joker, the
Joker is waiting for you to start over again next week.
