RODEO EVENTS

There are many events some events only girls choose to do and some only boys

chose to do but girls are allowed to bull ride and boys are allowed to barrel race I

think that girls shouldn’t ride bulls unless they can ride and they get out of the

way so they don’t put the protection clowns life in danger

steer riding . , Rope & tie. , U11s 11u14 14u18 and ladies barrel

In rodeo’s you can win a buckle but you

have to make it to the finals hear is a

BARREL RACING

There are many age groups for

barrel racing there is the

u11 ,11u14 ,14u18 and the ladies

also the novice barrel racing and

this year at the national finals kylie

barnet won the ladies barrel race

and Bianca hertal came first in the

average. In 2011 Bianca hertal was

the champion barrel racer Bianca's

horses name is cash what a great

name for a horse

BRONC RIDING

In Bronc riding you have a

mark you have to reach your

mark when the gate opens

all you will be disqualified

In breakaway the hole idea is

to swing the rope and try to

catch the calf it isn't as easy

as it looks and there are a

lot of rules in breakaway

roping also last year in 2012

won the breakaway roping at

the finals and Joslyn forkner

won the jr breakaway roping

protection bull fighter it is

the job to protect the

cowboys so they don’t get

hurt. There has to be at least

two protection bull fighters

in the arena and they have

to wear protective gear

sure your rope is securer .

Also you have to have one hand

in the air at all times.

and when your riding if your

hand touches the bull you are

disqualified right away .

And you can not swap what bull

you are riding with someone else

TEAM ROPING

In team roping you need to

no how to team rope also

every one gets to compete

as long as you pay your

entry's you are not allowed

to cheat in team roping

STEER DECORATING

Steer decorating is only for boys

In steer wrestling you have a

partner that will ride beside you

on the opposite side of you to

make the steer run straight

competes. The hole idea in steer

wrestling is to lean off your horse

and wrestle the steer to the

ground by the horns also there

is a guy in the arena on a horse

that will get your horse for you

RULES BREAKAWAY

In breakaway one of the rules are that u have to tie

the end of the rope to your horn on your saddle with

builders string so that when you catch it will break

off and when it breaks off the timers stop and that’s

your time but it is illegal head catch if you don’t catch

it around the neck also if you break the barrier you

will get a time penalty of 5s

MY MEMORY OF RODEO

Ever since I was 4 I have been riding when I was 2

my mum let me ride a little pony but of cause my

mum was holding me on the pony

In 2006 I made it into the abcra national finals

rodeo book the picture was of me barrel racing on

my horse mall at upper Horton rodeo . Now I have

been riding for 10 years I made it to the national

finals last year but I couldn’t go because our car

broke down but this year I'm trying to get back to

the finals .
