The handy plan in summary
Roger D Smith 27 February 2007
Then and now
• A centralised management team requirement still exists • Computer systems are far more capable and may well
replace time consuming support tasks• 4D planning options are a reality• That detailed knowledge based planning is a requirement
for a successful project

Conclusions
• A decision to proceed is required • Licensing is clearly a fundamental issue• Procurement efficiency may be dependant on commitment
to a 5 station programme• Requirements for high quality resources should not be
underestimated• The shelf life of experienced resources is running out• A new nuclear programme is fundamental to a balanced
energy supply system
