Research Survey Questions* 1. I think I learned more of the course concepts in the group discussions

and reviews versus straight class lectures. 2. I think that from time-to-time class lectures have value. 3. The regular review sessions passing around the ball and the use of the

bell (prompted sessions) helped me learn course material better. 4. The prompted review sessions helped me score better on quizzes &

exams this semester. 5. There were not enough lecture sessions in this class for me to

understand course concepts. 6. I liked the prompted review sessions because it is a change of pace,

allowed for fun and informality and helped break up the class sessions when it was done.

7. I would have liked to have seen more prompted review sessions during the semester.

Research Survey Questions (continued)

8. There was sufficient feedback on the activities such as in class group work and the reviews to guide me in my studies for quizzes and exams.

9. I wish other professors would use prompted methods such as ball passing and ringing the bell for correct answers.

10. I have a strong desire to do well in my classes. 11. I believe the review sessions made the course material more

interesting. 12. I usually study consistently throughout the semester. 13. The prompted review sessions helped develop my ability to critically

think and make informed decisions. 14. My aim was to do as little work as possible to pass this course. 15. Based on what I know now I believe that I will do well in this course. 16. Please feel free to write any comments you wish to provide in the
