Why is it important to involve schools in dengue control?
• Students are the most receptive to health messages and bring about the desired behaviour change in their own homes and their living environment
• No. of students= No. of households• School Going Aedes are the most
dangerous – even if one student comes to school with dengue virus, it will spread explosively to different areas

• Explain the biology of the enemy and the ways to attack the enemy
• Show them the breeding places of the enemy• Demonstrate the larvae, pupae and the adult• Ask questions and encourage the students to ask
questions• Administer the dengue pledge and motivate the
students to identify the enemy and attack
