MEMORIAL DAY Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day, a National Holiday. The Rectory Office will be closed all day.

ST. RAYMOND’S CEMETERY MEMORIAL DAY MASS The annual field Mass will be held on Memorial Day, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. on the new Cemetery grounds. The Mass will be tri-lingual and the cele-brant will be Fr. James Cruz, Pastor of St. Raymond’s parish. All are welcome to attend especially those with loved ones buried at St. Raymond’s Cemetery. BAPTISM / WEDDING REGISTRATIONS Baptism registrations will be taken in the vestibule after the 12pm Mass or any weekday in the Rectory. Please bring child’s birth certificate. We encourage couples who are civilly married and couples think-ing of marriage to stop by the rectory and speak with Fr. Anderson. Thank you. TRADITIONAL MASSES We invite everyone to attend the Traditional Mass, Sunday’s at 9 a.m. Following the Mass there will be Exposition, Prayer of Deliverance, Distribution of St. Benedict Medals, Coffee and donuts provid-ed afterwards! THIRTEEN TUESDAYS IN HONOR OF ST. ANTHONY The traditional devotion of the Thirteen Tuesdays in honor of St. Anthony continues every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m., as we prepare for the Feast of our Parish Patron St. Anthony. Please join us. FATHER’S DAY NOVENA OF MASSES Beginning on Father’s Day, 9 Holy Masses will be offered for all fathers, grandfathers, and godfathers, living and deceased, who have been enrolled. Cards for this purpose in English and Spanish are located at the tables in the back of the church. Please list the names of all those you wish to remember in these Masses on the envelope and return it in the collection basket by Father’s Day.

SHARE THE HOPE The readings for today’s celebration of the Ascension of the Lord once again remind us that as Christians we are people of hope. In the second reading Saint Paul eloquently exhorts the Ephesians to enlighten their hearts so that they will know the hope and glory that come from being people who place their trust in the Lord Jesus. In the story of the Ascension, recounted in the first reading, the Lord Jesus assures the disciples that the Holy Spirit’s power will come upon them. Finally, in the Gospel, the Lord lets the disciples know that their mission is to spread the hope of the gospel to all the nations. “The sixth decade is for the Souls in purgatory!

• Entrust your departed loved ones to Mary and ask Her to help the Holy Souls who need it the most, instead of a specific individual. • Before or after Holy Mass, pray the Rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. • When adoring the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, pray the Rosary for the Holy Souls. Pray for a particular soul in purgatory.

MISA DEL DÍA DE CONMEMORACIÓN El Cementerio de St. Raymond celebrará su misa anual para el Día de Conmemoración a los Caídos el lunes, 29 mayo en el nuevo cementerio. La Misa será tri-lingual y comenzará a las 11:00 a.m. El celebrante será Padre James Cruz, Pastor de la Iglesia de St. Raymond. Todos están invitados a asistir, particularmente aquellos con familiares enterrados en St. Raymond. COMPARTE LA ESPERANZA Las lecturas de hoy para la celebración de la Ascensión del Señor una vez más nos recuerdan que los cristianos somos pueblo de esperanza. En la segunda lectura, san Pablo con elocuencia exhorta a los efesios a iluminar su mente para que puedan conocer la esperanza y la gloria que vienen de ser personas que ponen su confianza en el Señor Jesús. En el relato de la Ascensión, narrado en la primera lectura, el Señor Jesús asegura a los discípulos que el poder del Espíritu Santo vendrá sobre ellos. Finalmente, en el Evangelio, el Señor da a conocer a los discípulos que su misión es proclamar el Evangelio a todas las naciones.
