FINDING GOD IN THE DARK We invite you to join us for the Finding God
in the Dark film series facilitated by Sister
Johanna Jonker every second Wednesday
week. The movies chosen are not “spiritual” in the strict
sense of the word but they deal with our deepest
emotions, hopes, fears and aspirations. Group discussion
will follow each movie. There is no fee.

Film: Entertaining Angels (the Dorothy Day Story)
Dorothy Day is not a conventional saint. She lived hard,
made mistakes. She wanted to make a difference and
during the Depression, she vowed to house the
homeless, feed the hungry and care for the sick and
launched the Catholic Worker Movement. Moira Kelly,
Martin Sheen, and Brian Keith star in this moving true
saga of a faith not just believed, but lived.
Thursday, March 22, Catechism students, along with their
teachers, completed the Stations of the Cross. Some were
dressed to represent key characters in the pageant.

Stewardship
Palm Sunday - March 25, 2018 Pilate again said to them, ‘Then what shall I do with the man
whom you call the King of the Jews?’ And they cried out
again, ‘Crucify him.’ Mark 15:12-13 Jesus told us,
“Whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you
do for me.” Every day presents opportunities to
help someone. Every day we have the opportunity
to see the face of Jesus in others and be the face of
Jesus to others. Pray for the strength and courage
to stand up for those in need of help.
Please pray for the sick,
their families, and caregivers
Please call the office if you have any information regarding
changes in status for the persons named above.
Good Friday Pontifical Collection
for the Holy Land The Pontifical Collection for the benefit of the Holy
Places is scheduled this year of Good Friday, March 30.
Our parish, once a year on Good Friday, is called to
support Christians in the Holy Land. Many Christians in
the Holy Land depend on the collection for their lives.
As a Pontifical collection requested by Pope Francis, the
annual Good Friday Collection helps to maintain not
only the Holy Places, but also the pastoral, welfare,
educational, and social works that the Church carries
out for benefit of the Christian brothers and sisters and
the local population.

Pope Francis’ prayer intention for March 2018:
Evangelization: That the Church may
appreciate the urgency of formation in
spiritual discernment, both on personal and
communitarian levels.
“Ask that the Lord give you a poor and
merciful heart, one that realizes its own
poverty and gives itself freely for others.”
Pope Francis
