Important Characters in Act 1 and their characteristics. RomeoDignified man. “ Verona brags of him to be virtuous and well-governed youth”(Act 5 pg22). This shows that Romeo is well-thought of in Verona, he also act responsibly and has self-discipline.Narrow-minded. “The all seeing sun has ne’er saw her match since first the world begun”(Act 2 pg 12). Later Romeo falls in love with Juliet at first sight. This, therefore shows that Juliet is obviously more beautiful when compared to Rosaline, the one he is referring to when saying this.
