Brief: Architectural lighting using the Philips Master LED GU10 for the hospitality industry.

Solution: Pharos is a wayfinding and safety banister lighting concept. Each module is independently touch sensitive, lighting the step beneath the module and the banister itself.

PHAROS

Developed in collaboration with Remote Control Lighting, the project was runner up of a Philips Design Competition, as a result it was featured in the ARC lighting show PHAROS

Brief: Target a new direction and range of products for an existing company, focusing on past and future trend analysis

Solution: Nucleus is a proximity lock, if any of the connected devices are stolen or left unattended the Nucleus gives a warning vibration and locks the smart device. This then gives the owner multiple options to backup and clean their personal data.

Bodhi

Brief: Design Symbiotic Après Ski Footwear for recreational skiers

Solution: Bodhi is a footwear solution which, for portability wraps onto the user’s body while skiing. When not skiing it is taken off and worn on the feet to replace the ski boots

Developed in collaboration with ANATOMY HCD, the project was featured in the New Designers Exhibition 2014

BODHI FEATURES

Fastening compressionCompression of the upper is necessary for the product to function symbiotically on the leg. This is secured with two snap buttons which keep it safely compacted. In the event of a fall, this prevents any snow or debris from entering the innards of the shoe.

Security StrapIn order to strap the product to the skier’s leg, an elasticated nylon strap runs from the toe piece of the product to the heel. The heel features a D loop that allows the strap to rotate into a parallel (against the sole) position, resulting in greater security.

Dual ProtectionAn internal neoprene sheath provides impact resistance, waterproofing and insulation, and an outer layer made from a combination of Gore-Tex and top grain leather to provide abrasion and some water resistance. When the user’s foot is positioned inside of the sock it stretches to fill the outer layer. Trapped air between the two layers heats up and provides extra insulation.

Hi-Flex SoleThe sole is made from a high flex resin which enables it to be laterally bent and allows for the wrapping functionality.

The Drift Ghost-S is a extreme sports point of view camera. It features a Sony™ CMOS sensor, plus 7-element aspherical lens technology, the Ghost-S is capable of 1080p at 60fps, 12MP stills and great low-light performance.

The Drift App allows users to remotely control the Drift HD Ghost and Ghost-S POV cameras. It also enables the sharing and downloading of content to user’s smart devices.

Head Strap Mount allows top and side mounting, or any position in between. Adjustable to suit a wide range of head sizes. The mount’s EVA foam padding keeps the camera secure and comfortably in place.
