A family of wine growers, the Zorzettig, and a generous, captivating land filled with history united by an ancient bond represented by the small white church which nestles in the hills among the family’s vineyards. Built in 1522 this simple chapel has provided refuge and sustenance to wanderers and pilgrims over the centuries.

A frontier land, crossroads of peoples and place where Italian, Slovenian and Austrian cultures lived together from Roman times up to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Over the centuries these precious influences moulded and enriched the ancient wine-growing tradition of the Friuli Region towards the successful cultivation of both autochthonous and international varieties. A success nurtured by the unique composition of the soil and miraculous microclimate.
