•Slopes down on all sides
•Upper portion is a gable roof
•Lower portion is a hip roof

Mansard Roof
•Slopes down on all sides
•Lower portion has a long, steep slope
•Upper portion has a short, shallow slope
•Dormer-small structure with a window projecting from a sloping roof
