Rosamox is a natural antioxidant from Kemins proprietary rosemary. Rosamox is extracted using Supercritical CO2, which is a solvent-free, green chemistry, sustainable process that meets todays corporate initiatives to minimize the environmental impact. Rosamox quenches reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals that degrade oils and oil-containing formulas resulting in off appearance and odors. It is a natural replacement for BHT and effective alternative to Mixed Tocopherols, Tocopherol Acetate and Vitamin E.

Safety Studies

The BCOP score for Rosamox was 0.80, which is considered to be a non-irritant.

The skin tolerance of Rosamox has been clinically evaluated by Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT). Results indicate that Rosamox, when tested at 10x the standard 0.5% inclusion rate, is a non-irritant.

Peroxide values were monitored over several days while the cream samples were incubated at 50C. Samples with Rosamox had much lower PV than tocopherols and were similar to BHT treated samples.
