“My first love was portraiture. I am fascinated by the uniqueness of each face. The features and structure, the moods that are shown or hidden, the smooth beauty of youth and the changes that time and life leave there. As I continued to work I came to realize that the entire body is a portrait, at times more expressive than the face. What I strive to portray is the essence of the individual, caught in a moment of time.”
