not use shot shells or cartridges that are dirty, wet, corroded,

damaged. Do not oil shot shells or cartridges. Do not spray atype lubricants, preservatives, or cleaners directly onto shot scartridges or where excess spray may flow into contact with cartridges. Lubricant or other foreign matter on shot shells orcartridges can cause potentially dangerous ammunition malfuUse only ammunition of the gauge for which your firearm ischambered. The proper gauge is permanently engraved on yo

firearm; never attempt to use ammunition of any other gaugeshotgun is suitable for use of factory loaded shot shells or cacontaining steel shot.

    2. The use of reloaded, remanufactured, hand-loaded, or othestandard ammunition voids all warranties. Improperly loadedammunition voids all warranties. Improperly loaded ammunibe extremely dangerous. Severe damage to the firearm and seinjury to the shooter or to others may result. Always use ammthat complies with the industry performance standards establthe Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute, the United States, (SAAMI) or the equivalent from other cou

    3. Firearms may be severely damaged and serious injury to the or to others may result from any condition causing excessiveinside the chamber or barrel during firing. Excessive pressurecaused by obstructions in the barrel, propellant powder overlby the use of incorrect shot shells or cartridges or defectivelyassembled shot shells or cartridges. In addition, the use of a dcorroded, or damaged shot shell or cartridge can lead to a buor cartridge case and consequent damage to the firearm and pinjury from the sudden escape of high-pressure propellant gathe firearms mechanism.

    4. Immediately stop shooting and check the barrel for a possiblobstruction whenever:

You have difficulty in, or feel unusual resistance in, chambershot shell or cartridge, or

A shot shell or cartridge misfires (does not go off), or

The mechanism fails to extract a fired shot shell or cartridge Unburned grains of propellant powder are discovered spilled mechanism, or

A shot sounds weak or abnormal. In such cases it is possible bullet is lodged part way down the barrel. Firing a subsequenshell or cartridge into the obstructed barrel can wreck the fireand cause serious injury to the shooter or to bystanders.

    5. Shot, wads and bullets can become lodged in the barrel. If the shot shell or cartridge has been improperly loaded withpropellant powder, or if the powder fails to ignite (Ignition ofshell or cartridge primer alone will push the shot and wad or out of the shot shell or cartridge case, but usually does not gesufficient energy to expel them completely from the barrel).

    6. If there is any reason to suspect that the barrel is obstructed, immediately unload the firearm and look down the bore. It issufficient to merely look in the chamber. Shot and/or the wadbullet may be lodged some distance down the barrel where iteasily be seen.IF THE BORE IS OBSTRUCTED, DO NOT ATTEMPT TOBY USING ANOTHER SHOT SHELL OR CARTRIDGE OOUT WITH A BLANK. SUCH TECHNIQUES CAN GENEPRESSURE, WRECK THE FIREARM AND CAUSE SERIOINJURY.
