The Rotavator is the most versatileimplement for:1. Crumbling; It can be set to

produce soil tilths from very coarse to very fine.

2. Residue mixing; The Rotavator can cope with high amounts of weed or trash without blocking and will incorporate residue evenly throughout the working depth. The benefits are a clean surface and easy incorporation of organic material to improve soil structure.

Crumbling effectThe Rotavator cuts the soil with the rotor mounted blades, and projectsthe soil at the rear trailing board. A combination of working depth, rotorspeed, tractor speed and trailing-board settingsprovides a wide range of tillage finish-es.The Rotavator is an importantimplement in vegetable produc-tion where the planter requiresa fine tilth, especially for root,bulb, tuber and other under-soil crops such as potatoes,onions, carrots and asparaguswhere a cloddy soil can effect the shapeand quality of the product.The Rotavator can also be used as a seed bedpreparation machine for normal farming crops, or fit-ted with a seed-drill, as a one-pass planter.

Rotavator 500 SeriesThe HOWARD ROTAVATOR 500series is available in a wide rangeof working widths and configura-tions. The 500 series is designedfor tractors of 60 – 80 kW. Thecombinations of different trailingboards, depth control systems,rotors and blades allows thefarmer to use the machine inmany different crops – vegetables,orchards, vineyards, sugar caneand beet, pineapples and wideacre irrigation and dry-land crops.The very strong frame with and adouble plate hull allows themachines to be used in veryheavy conditions without unduewear and tear. The new depthcontrol system, giving a very compact overall width, allows theoperator to work very close tofield edges, trees and irrigationsystems.

R600S-S. Four speed for heavyduty use. This model can be fit-ted to tractors up to 136 kW.

R600S-D. This model equippedwith the lever change gearbox,and oil cooling system, also fortractors up to 136 kW.

ROTAVATOR 600 SERIESThe HOWARD ROTAVATOR 600series is suitable for medium tolarge size tractors, for use in inten-sive farming and for contractors.

The machines range from 180-405cm working width and for trac-tors of 60-137kW. The range isavailable with 4 different rotor typesin both single and double flange.Three different gear boxes are avail-able, two with 4 speed pick-offgears (“Selectatilth”) and one witha 3 speed lever change and oilcooler. The range includes the new280cm working width machine(305CM transport width) developedto comply with the European roadordinance. This has been madepossible by the new depth controlsystem which is extremely com-pact and reliable.Depth control is available with skids(up to 255cm working width) or withrear wheels and a wide range ofrollers for various soil applicationsand conditions.

ROTAVATOR 700S-DThe 700 series machines are themost sophisticated machines intheir class. Synchronized dual geardriven side-drives, coupled to a single rotor, offers unprecedentedreliability. The oil cooling systemallows for long trouble free workingdays in high ambient temperatures(40c+), giving a long operating lifeto the complete machine. The rotorbearing units are protected by faceseals giving up to 3 times additionalworking life compared to ordinaryoil seals.

The frame is extremely strong,incorporating three structural tubesand a double hull.

ROTALABOUR. The finest seed bedpreparation machineThe ROTALABOUR is a perfectmachine for seed bed preparation.The special shape of the Rotalabour blades effectivelybreaks down clods, while at thesame time using very little power.This allows wider machines to beused on smaller tractors whenpreparing seed beds.Another positive aspect of theRotalabour is the fact that the soilunder the blade receives minimumpressure from the blade, increasingthe capillary action of the soil. Theblade enters the soil at a “negative”angle, which prevents residue packing in the middle of the rotor,which can happen with many similar machines from other manu-facturers.

The Rotalabour blade breaks clods very effectively.
