Routine List: Sarina del Fuego.
MEDUSA - A favourite signature act created in early 2010 especially for Australian Burlesque Festival. The act asks the eternal questions of the male (and female) gaze: to look or not to look? Medusa was once a beautiful virgin priestess, assaulted by Poseidon in Athena’s temple and then banished and cursed by Athena. Sarina wanted to give her back the power she never had and make her in to a temptress potentially able to look upon people without turning them to statues. Nevertheless, watching Sarina del Fuego’s Medusa routine is more than worth the risk of being turned to stone. Set to Jasmine by Sonny Lester and Temptress by The Flies.

BLUEBIRD - Created for the 2011 Australian Burlesque Festival. A girl is seduced by a bluebird to shed her gown in a classic striptease and dons feathers to become a blue bird herself. A routine set to jazz and a classical ballet piece. The performance builds to its beautifully revealing finale with a grand feather fan dance. It is inspired by Classic Film Noir, where all you need is a girl, cigarette and a gun. There is no gun here but the girl herself is a weapon. Perfect routine for a fetish event or something a little dark. ARABIAN NITES - First performed in 2005, Sarina’s Arabian Nights routine is a tribute to Rita Hayworth’s Dance of the Seven Veils in Salome. In an ornate vintage showgirl costume of gold and pink lamé,

this whirling dervish of a virgin princess will dance her way through the crowd as she loses her seven veils (and perhaps something more).

Sarina’s fire fan act was created in late 2009 as a disco influenced routine and has grown in to a tribal dance to a remix of Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk.
