    YARNBaby Merino Silk DKA Limone 675 2 x 50gmB Straw 671 1 x 50gm

    NEEDLES1 pair 4mm (no 8) (US 6) needles

    TENSION22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm measured over st st using 4mm (US 6) needles.

    EXTRASAssorted buttons, piece of fabric approx 32 cm (12 in) long by 23 cm (9 in) wide, lace approx 80 cm (31 in) long.

    FINISHED SIZECompleted cushion fits cushion pad approx. 30 cm (12 in) by 30 cm (12 in) square.

    BACKUsing 4mm (US 6) needles and yarn A cast on 66 sts.Row 1: Knit.Row 2: Purl.Row 3: Using yarn B knit.Row 4: Using yarn B Purl.These 4 rows form patt.Cont in patt until back measures 30 cm, ending with RS facing.

    FRONTWork as back using yarn A only.

    MAKING UPPress as described on ball band.Join back and front together using back stitch or mattress stitch if preferred, leaving one side open.Insert cushion pad and sew up remaining side.PocketCut a piece of fabric 32 cm long by 23 cm wide, fold in half placing folded edge approx. halfway up from cast on edge of cushion. Sew in place with lace over pocket edges leaving folded edge open for pocket opening.Using photograph as a guide attach buttons to front of pocket, if using cushion for a small child omit buttons.Lace may also be added around outside of cushion if desired.
