IHC provides microtunnelling systems ranging from 500-3,000mm in diameter – both new and refurbished. Our systems are designed for all soil and rock types using a changeable cutt erhead for hard rock applicati ons. A slurry system is used as the main transport method for excavated materials.
Our microtunnelling system consists of• tunnel boring machine• jacking stati on• control container• guidance system for precise tunnelling.
Additi onal equipment such as power packs, intermediate jacking stati ons , and bentonite plants can be provided on request.
Our systems are also available for rental operati ons with a full service package.
SHAFTBORING
EQUIPMENT
IHC’s shaft boring systems can be customised for larger diameters and varying ground conditi ons.
Our integrated shaft boring system consists of• verti cal mole• verti cal guidance and jacking frame• special portal crane• automati on and control.
IHC has developed a special verti cal drilling system,IHC Verti cal Mole, which is suitable for operati on in confi ned spaces and soft - and mixed ground conditi ons.
The IHC Verti cal Mole was designed and built in close cooperati on with one of our customers. The system can drill 2,000mm diameter piles down to 65m in depth, in an area with just over 3m headspace.
The system consists of a cutti ng head with extendable arms, a verti cal jacking stati on and a low-height portal crane. The system is capable of drilling and installing steel pipe segments of 1,850mm each. The enti re operati on is monitored and remotely controlled from a cabin.

IHC Hytech, part of IHC, has developed a modular standard range of cylindrical living chambers and transport shutt les for two to sixteen persons. The chambers and shutt les are suitable for compressed air workers and/or saturati on workers for maintenance and interventi on works on the tunnel boring machine.
The systems can be delivered both new and refurbished and will be complete, including control consoles, air compressors, air buff ers, mixed gas supply, oxygen make-up and fi refi ghti ng systems. Naturally the system will be completely factory tested before delivery and can be delivered on a turnkey basis, and service level agreements are provided to ensure maximum support. We deliver both new and refurbished systems with your choice of technical assistance and services.
