REPORT ON THE BOSTON CREEK GOLD PROPERTYBOSTON TOWNSHIP, DISTRICT OF TIMISKAMING, OUT.

LARDER LAKE MINING DIVISION

INTRODUCTIONThe Boston Creek property comprises three contiguous staked

mining claims with a total area of approximately 64 Ha located in the southeast portion of Boston Township, Larder Lake Mining Division.

Exploration completed in November, 1994 included griding, detailed ground magnetics and geological mapping. This work was financed by an OPAP grant.

The mapping program indicates that the magnetic feature is caused by an ellipsoidal syenitic intrusive with magnetic phases.

Reconnaissance sampling of the syenite returned exceptional gold mineralization both within quartz/molybdenite veining and within pyritic syenite. The initial sampling (6 samples) indicated broad gold mineralization from an area of approximately 400' x 400'. Elevated gold values were obtained as well from veining within the surrounding volcanics.

PROPERTY LOCATION ACCESS AND TOPOGRAPHY

The Boston Creek claims are easily accessed through the village of Boston Creek located 17 kilometres southeast of Kirkland Lake. (UTM S3 i9 30a: , 5 82 6CDS ) A gravel road running east and north from Boston Creek passes through the middle of the claims. The three claims lie in the southeast portion of Boston Township along the Boston/McElroy Township line, (figure 1)

The claims are generally flat with overburden depths less than 20' and on average close to 10'. There appears to be limited overburden over the syenite body allowing for easy stripping. A beaver pond located immediately south of the mapped area will provide an adequate source of water for washing stripped areas.

LAND TENURE AND OWNERSHIP

The Boston Creek property comprises three contiguous staked mining claims. The claims are held jointly (50-50) by Stewart Carmichael and Jim Whelan and are as follows: (figure 2)Claim Voter Recorded Data f Unit* Area m*•••••ant Obligation*

recorded in the past on the claims. The property has been prospected as indicated by trenches and pits estimated to be 20 yrs* in age. The property was covered by an airborne Total ?ield and Gradient magnetic survey and VLF in 1986 by Golden Shield Resources as part of a larger regional survey.

There are a number of gold prospects located in the immediate area of the Boston Township property. Some of these include the Gold Leaf prospect located immediately north of present claim 1205727, the Boston Creek Occurrence, the Currie Occurrence and Gogita Occurrence located 1.5 miles to the southwest and west, and the Kennedy and Planet Occurrences located 1/2 mile to the southwest. Exploration on these prospects is generally limited with the exception being the Boston Creek and Planet Occurrences which were explored underground. Mineralization at the above described prospects includes mineralized shear zones and quartz veining within granitic dikes and plugs. The Planet Occurrence is described as Keewatin mafic volcanics cut by a small body of Algoman granite which contain numerous veins and small stringers of quartz, two bulk samples, each weighing more than 1.5 tons each assayed 0.07 and 0.08 oz/ton Au.

REGIONAL AND PROPERTY GEOLOGY

Geological mapping was completed over the central portion of claims 1187217 and 1187216 at a scale of 1*^200 ft. on grid lines spaced at 200' intervals.

The property is underlain for the most part by mafic volcanics of the Wabewawa Group, (figure 3) These are mostly pillowed and massive flows of tholeiitic composition with a general north to north-westerly strike. The central portion of the property has been intruded by an ellipsoidal leucocratic syenitic body with an axis oriented at approximately 020 D . The intrusive has a mapped maximum width of up to 350' (magnetics indicate the body could be wider) and a length of 1,600' open to the north. The intrusive appears to be syenitic comprised of fine to medium grained potassic feldspar with little accessory quartz.

1994 EXPLORATION PROGRAM

The claims were staked to cover a circular magnetic feature shown on the Golden Shield gradient magnetic survey. The approximate ground location of the feature was covered by 2.3 miles of griding with lines spaced at 200'.

The magnetometer survey was completed using a Scintrex IGS- 2/MP-4 proton magnetometer which was interfaced with a Scintrex MP- 3 base station by Jim Whelan Geotechnical Services. Readings were taken at 50' intervals on grid lines spaced at 200' with the readings contoured at a 25 nT interval. The results show a roughly oval elevated magnetic anomaly with a peak response of 250 nT above background. During the survey, several outcrops were noted and it became apparent that the magnetic anomaly likely outcropped. It was

then decided to map the property to determine if the cause of the magnetic anomaly did outcrop.

The mapping clearly shows the syenitic intrusive to be magnetic as well as some of the tholeiitic basalts. A number of old pits and trenches were located and a cursory examination and sampling of the trenches returned very interesting gold values. A total of six composite grab samples were taken, all of which were anomalous and greater than 100 ppb Au. A summary of the samples follows:

DescriptionQuartz vein in basalt Quartz vein in syenite Quartz vein in syenite Syenite, 41 py, some quartz Quartz vein, tr py, tr Mo Quartz vein, py, cpy, Mo

The sampling indicates fairly widespread mineralization which does not appear to be confined to a single vein but perhaps from a stockwork of veins. Sample BC-4 (2201 ppb Au) indicates that the syenite itself may be mineralized with gold. Additional veining was located further to the north on the grid but was not sampled.

The results were unexpected considering the property was mapped in order to determine the cause of the magnetic anomaly and the sampling was completed more as a secondary consideration.

One additional claim, 1205727 was staked to the north as a result of the 1994 program.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Geological mapping on the Boston Creek property effectively "killed" the magnetic anomaly as a possible kimberlite intrusive but instead uncovered a new gold showing(s). Sampling indicates significant gold mineralization is present over an area of approximately 400' x 400* limited only by the amount of samples taken thus far. Gold mineralization is located not only in quartz veins +- molybdenite but in the syenite itself. Additional exploration is highly recommended and will be aimed at locating other mineralized areas by a soil geochem sampling program as well as stripping and sampling over the 1994 gold occurrences.

Two old trenches were located during the staking of claim 1205727 on the south claim boundary. These pits should be examined as well.

Respectfully Submitt

^ Stewart Carmichael, B. Se., F
