Considering a new construction or upgrade project?

You may be eligible for incentives through programs offered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to encourage high-performance new building design and energy-efficient equipment retrofits for commercial buildings. Contact your PG&E Account Representative early in the design process of your project to identify available funding, receive program information specific to your project needs, and enhance your project's overall energy efficiency potential. For more information, please contact your PG&E Account Representative. You may also visit www.pge.com/cnc for information about new construction, or go to www.pge.com/ moneybacksolutions to learn more about incentives.

Want to save money and help the environment?

As a PG&E customer, you may be eligible to participate in Demand Response incentive programs. These programs are designed to be both fiscally- and environmentally-responsible ways to respond to occasional peak demand periods of energy use. They also offer incentives to businesses that volunteer and participate by temporarily reducing their electricity use when demand could outpace supply. Refer to www.pge.com/demandresponse for more information or call our Business Customer Service Center at 1-800-468-4743.

Requirements:• New fixtures or new retrofit kits only, and only

certain combinations of lamp number and ballast factor are eligible.

• Fixture efficiency must exceed 80 percent.

• T8 measures are based on the savings provided by utilizing a one-lamp or two-lamp fixture instead of the industry-standard three-lamp fixture. Additional savings are realized if a RLO ballast is used instead of the standard, base-case NLO ballast. Please note that savings are reduced if a HLO or VHLO ballast is used.

• T5 measures are based on the savings provided by utilizing a two-lamp T5 fixture instead of the industry-standard three-lamp T8 fixture. Additional savings are realized if a NLO ballast is used instead of a HLO ballast. VHLO T5 ballasts are excluded due to insufficient savings relative to the base case.

• These rebates cannot be combined with rebates from other catalog measures or other programs claiming lighting savings.

• All 32-watt T8 lamps must be HPT8 or Super T8 lamps and listed on the qualified HP T8 lamp list at www.cee1.org/com/com-lt/lamps-ballasts.xls.

• All lamps must be rated as having 20,000 hours or greater average-rated lamp life based on 3 hours per start (when operated on program rapid-start ballasts).

High Bay Compact Fluorescent Fixtures

Requirements:• Only complete, new compact fluorescent fixtures qualify.

• New fixtures must not exceed the maximum “Replacement Fixture Wattage” listed in the Compact Fluorescent Fixtures Rebate Table for each range of lamp wattage being replaced. Replacement fixture wattage is the total system wattage (lamp and ballast).

• Ballasts must have a power factor greater than or equal to 0.9.

• Rebates are based on a one-for-one replacement of incandescent or high-intensity discharge (HID) fixtures including mercury vapor, high-pressure sodium, low-pressure sodium, standard metal halide or pulse-start metal halide. Existing lamp wattage is used rather than total fixture wattage (i.e., a 250-watt, high-pressure sodium fixture is a 250-watt base case and qualifies under the L1022 rebate code).

• To calculate the base case wattage for incandescent and fluorescent fixtures with more than one lamp, multiply the number of lamps by the nominal lamp wattage as listed on the lamp label.

• New exterior installations qualify if existing lamps are 100 watts or less.

• May qualify for an additional control(s) rebate through the “Occupancy Sensor” and/or “Exterior Photocells” category, provided all requirements are met.

Exclusions:• Other fixture configurations and exterior applications

greater than 100 watts will be considered under our Customized Retrofit Incentive program.

• Exterior installations and applications only qualify for rebate code LA00 (see table).

Interior Induction Fixtures

Requirements:• Only complete, new induction fixtures or retrofit kits qualify

for this rebate.

• New fixtures must not exceed the maximum “Replacement Fixture Wattage” listed in the Interior Induction Fixtures Rebate Table for each lamp being replaced. New lamp wattage is the total lamp-only wattage.

• Rebates are based on a one-for-one replacement of incandescent or high-intensity discharge (HID) fixtures including mercury vapor, high-pressure sodium and standard metal halide (or pulse-start metal halide). Existing lamp wattage is used rather than total fixture wattage (i.e., a 250-watt, high-pressure sodium fixture equals a 250-watt base case and qualifies under the L1025 rebate code).

• Any wattage incandescent lamp equal to or greater than 60 watts may be replaced by complete, new interior induction fixtures. To calculate the base case wattage for incandescent fixtures with more than one lamp, multiply the number of lamps by the nominal lamp wattage as listed on the lamp label.

• In all cases, the wattage of the replacement fixture must be less than the wattage of the existing lamp.

• May qualify for an additional control(s) rebate through the “Occupancy Sensors” category, provided all requirements are met.

Example calculation: Interior induction fixture plus integrated sensor (rebate code L0270 for $90 and rebate code L1037 for $15) $90 + $15 = $105 total.

Exclusions:• Exterior installations and applications are typically

operating during non-peak hours and therefore do not qualify under this interior fixture category.

• Other fixture configurations may be considered under our Customized Retrofit Incentive Program.
