Before, during and after typhoon Ruby’s landfall in Dolores, Eastern Samar the PMPI had

gathered much information from the ground to help them assess what to prioritie when it’s

time to mo!e and help those that are a"ected# $ccording to the a"ected communities thewind was stronger than the downpour of rain# $side from the tas%ed e!acuation centres,

they ha!e constructed e!acuation centres in the rice &elds and ha!e con!erted the Bishop

palace into one#

 'he community had e!acuated early and is awaiting updates and information from the

concern o(ces# 'hey seemed to be ready and prepared for the storm# 'he

telecommunication company )lobe is the &rst one to lose its signal but later on as the wind

and rain gets stronger the other two telecomm companies also lost its signal together with

the power outage in )uiuan#

Ma*ority of the community stated that they are alright and has only minor damages to deal

with, the more important thing that they need is rice, canned goods, noodles and co"ee or

any warm din% that they can ha!e in the cold morning#

+ur partner SI$' has already distributed relief pac%s to the community and is currently

conducting a research regarding the number of e!acuation sites in -omonhon, Manicani,

 'ubabao and .ictory islands#

 'he local go!ernment has been conducting se!eral meetings regarding the progress and has

as%ed PMPI for its assistance#
