Originally built for the Aquino Family has been passed to the next generation members Michael and Lilith Aquino. This is one of 4 houses by Neutra still standing in the area. Visible at the end of the street is the Alcatraz Island and Prison. The color coordinated tree and the cat house dominate the

inside and outside views.

Owned since 2005 by Alvin and Elaine Pelavin is an early example of Neutra’s redwood homes. Deterioration and faint life traces are visible though the windows.

Commissioned by businessman Sidney Kahn is the largest house Neutra built. Each of the 4 floors has a 1,050 square-foot- area.The upper floor was designed entirely for entertaining. Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo lived next-door for a few months in 1940 while this was under construction. The house was bought in the 1970’s by Art Collector David L.Davies.
