ConditionsThe fish must be point score legal and can be fished for from the end of Summer Season eachyear through to the end of the next season (i.e. 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the fulltwelve months).

An orange flag measuring 16" x 20" can be flown warning other vessels that they are fighting a fish. Any vessel causing the loss of your fish, whilst you are flying this flag maybe protested against. All protests must be in writing within seven (7) days to the Committee of LMGFC. The Committee's decision will be final.

23. RADIO SCHEDS

(a) The Base Station of LMGFC call sign is "Lake Macquarie Game fish Base". The Base station of LMGFC shall conduct all LMGFC transmissions on VHF Channel 80 where possible with 27MHz Channel 27.940 as a backup.

(b) (i) Radio Scheds will be conducted on VHF Channel 80 on each points scoring day if 3

or more boats are fishing. 27 Mhz radio channel will be 27.940 Mhz and may be used as an alternate radio, but only in conjunction with the main Sched on VHF Channel 80. If less than three (3) boats are fishing then they MUST communicate 2 hourly with each other and/or the Marine Rescue.

(ii) Radio Scheds will be conducted at en minutes past the hour every two hours starting at 7. 10am-Eastern Summer Time and 8. 10am Eastern Standard Time.

(iii) Vessels will notify Marine Rescue before heading to sea with their intention to fish and notify the sched boat at the earliest opportunity once the sched boat has been nominated for the days fishing.

(iv) Vessels will report on each Radio Sched accurately their position using the LMGFC Grid Map. In the event a grid map is not available the vessel must provide wat er depth in fathoms and position in relation to known land marks or preferably a GPS position if available. Fishing report for the period since the last s::hed using the 000 system, anglers name and line class. On the last sched vessels must report total captures and / or tags for the day with an estimated time of arrival back in port. Vessels must report any hook ups to the s::hed boat prior to the end of fishing to be eligible for summer point score.

(c) In the event of vessels at sea not willing to conduct Radio Scheds, the LMGFC President or Committee person will nominate a vessel.

(d) All vessels must report on each radio Sched with the correct information. In the event of a vessel not reporting or giving false information, the Skipper will be required to give an explanation to the Club's Committee, and this could result in a points penalty being imposed.

(e) All vessels must sign off when they have returned to inshore waters with the "Sched Boat" of the day or Standby Base and Marine Rescue.

(f) Completed sched sheets must be returned to the club Secretary within seven (7) days. (g) Failure to comply with any of these Radio Sched rules could result in a points penalty being

imposed and the Committee's decision will be final.

24.JUNIOR MEMBERS

Junior members will not fish any Club event unless accompanied by an Adult with the exception of Juniors fishing from land-based positions. A Junior is an angler who has not reached the age of 16 years.

25. MINIMUM NUMBER TO FISH

Minimum number of two (2) persons must be on any boat partiapating in any LMGFC event.

26. UNWANTED FISH

All unwanted fish must be disposed of in an appropriate manner, well clear of the heads. If this rule is not adhered to the Committee has the right to take whatever action they feel is appropriate and the Committee's decision shall be final.

27. FISHING AWAY AT TOURNAMENTS

It is expected when LMGFC members are participating in NSWGFA sanctioned away tournaments representing LMGFC that they conduct themselves in a manner befitting their Club. If a complaint is received from the host Club of this tournament regarding any LMGFC member the Committee reserves the right to take appropriate action and the Committee's decision will be final.

28. FISHING RULES/BY-LAWSAs well as the reprinting of the club fishing rules/by-laws each year, these fishing rules are to be revised at the end of the Summer Season each year at a meeting, to see what our requirements are and whether these rules are to be updated or changed. We are to fish by these rules without changes until the following revision at the end of the season. If a member wants to place a notice for a change of or addition to any fishing rule during the season, the motion will be noted and placed on the agenda for the revision of fishing rules at the end of that se ason. All Government Statutory requirements must be complied with including minimum fish size and bag limits.

29. BOAT WASH The Committee may impose a penalty of up to 2,000 points if any vessel causes damage to any other vessel or property caused by excessive boat wash in the channel. Any breach of this regulation must be reported within seven (7) days in writing to theLMGFC Committee.

30. NSWGFA INTERCLUB COMPETITION - SELECTION OF TEAMS The selection of LMGFC teams to fish the lnterclub Competition wll be determined by LMGFC Committee at that lime.

31. MEMBER OF COMMITTEEWho may have an interest or who may appear to have an interest in a dispute or consideration before the Committee, shall excuse himself or herself from voting or officiating at such dispute or consideration, but are free to talk on the subject under discussion and give his or her opinion or observation.

32. DEFINITIONSHome Port Lake Macquarie. Club registered vessels may point score out of Newcastle and Norah Head. VisitorA person who has not previously been a member of LMGFC or any other NSWGFA Club, a person who is not currently a member of another NSWGFA Club or a person who has never previously at any time weighed or tagged a fish as a visitor for LMGFC. Junior / Small FryThe above are eligible for male or female trophies unless the trophy states Adult Male or Adult Female. The exception to this is when Champion Angler trophies are being competed for when Small Fry, Junior, Male, Female and overall trophies are available, the angler trophies will be awarded to the respective class.

33. INTENT OF THE RULESIn the case of a dispute the LMGFC Fishing Rules/By -Laws the LMGFC Committee's decision shall be final.

Northern Zone Competition Rules

1. Fishing days will be the first Saturday OR Sunday of the first full weelcend except ror theClubs' first nominated Zonal day of each month or the Clubs' first competition Saturday orday of each month thereafl.er. Boats can only fish one Norlhem Zone day permonth except for the Overnight Tournaments lo be held twice per fishing year coincidingwith the full moon, when boats can fish all weekend.

If any Club boats fish Saturday for Northem Zone point score and the weather turns bad ror Sunday, then only Saturday will count ror Norlhem Zone points for that month. If the entire weekend is not fishab/e, then it will carry lo the fO/lowing weekend except for the Overnight Tournaments, which are not fnmsferable.

Rshing days will begin in July of each year and_ finish in June the following year. 2. Fish must be captured or tag & released from the Clubs' homepott or in a NSWGFA

sanctioned loumament.a) This competition is only ID be fished out of Northern Zone Ports.

b) In addition ID NSWGFA sanctioned loumaments, a boat may fish a maximumof two (2) Northern Zone Competition days in another Northern Zone Clubs' Pott.

3. Captures and Tags must be lodges by mail or fax to the Northern ZoneChairman within the month of capture and/or tag & release

a) Northern Zone Chairman must notify each club within 14 days of the endof each month the current pointscore updates

4. Each club to nominate its five (5) best captures plus five (5) highest pointscoringtag & release boats. (on form supplied)

s. Northern Zone Competition Pointscore for Capture will be awarded as follows:200 points for the highest pointscoring capture each day18() points for the second highest pointscore capture

160 points for the third highest pointscore capture

6. Points will be awarded as per the current NSWGFA Pointscore.Maximum Pointscores will apply

GFAA Eligible Gamefish Species - Tag & Release

- All Sharks and Eagle Rays [*] are to be tagged with the Metal Shark Tag

- Species marked with [***] are to be tagged with the small pelagic gamefish tag

- All species must be a minimum of 60cm in length except sharks & where specified above

- Billfish [**] are to be tagged with the Billfish tag

- JUNIOR TOURNAMENT - Maximum of 5 tagged fish of any one species to be entered on any one day
