The democrat-controlled Senate recently dropped the proposed bill on banning the sales of

assault riles. It could still possibly come up for voting. Sen. D. Feinstein of California said she

was disappointed with this decision to drop this bill. She has been leading these gun-

control bills and has been calling for the Obama Administration to create gun-control laws

with the Newtown and mass shooting incidents. There are currently 53 Democrats in the

Senate and two independents who usually vote with the Democrats. Feinstein said there

would be two more votes, with one on Assault Rile bans and ammunition magazines holding

more than 10 rounds/bullets. The second would just be the high-capacity magazine ban.

Many Democrats think the ban on large-capacity magazines has a better chance of getting 60

votes than the assault weapons ban.
