Running the Chart of Accounts directly from PRISM (On-Demand Version)

1. Navigate to the Reports / Run screen and select “Single Request”. (Note that the report will be

in Standard Report List.)

2. On the “Submit Request” screen, click on the drop down list in the “Name” field and select

“Pitt's Chart of Accounts (Request Only) - FGAR300”.

3. Click on “Options” and change the number of copies from “1” to “0” and click “OK”. Note that

this is a very large report. If you choose to print it, leave the number of copies at 1 and monitor

the paper status for your PRISM-designated printer.

4. Click “Submit” to initiate the job.

5. Navigate to view the Concurrent Manager screen. (From the main menu, select “Other” then

“Requests”.) Click on “Find” to locate the job.

6. Locate the job and be certain it has completed. Select the job and click on “View Output”.

7. To save a copy to your local drive, on the tool bar at the top of the screen, click “Tools” then

“Copy File”.

8. The report will open to allow it to be saved as a text file to your local drive.

9. On the tool bar at the top, select “File” then “Save as” and save it under the file name and

location you prefer. Be sure it is saved in the default text file format.

10. From your desktop, open Excel and navigate to where the file is saved. (Be sure to search “All

files” as the file is in text format.)

11. Open the file and complete the “Text Import Wizard” steps.

1) Select “Fixed Width” and click “Next”.

2) The column tabs will be inserted correctly. If you choose to change them, do so before

moving on. Click “Next”.

3) Select “General” then click “Finish”.

4) The file is ready for custom formatting using Excel.

5) Once you have completed the desired formatting, save the file as an Excel file to your

desired location. NOTE: You can also save the file in PDF format if you choose.
