• Demand management analysis completed, additional permanent staff to be
recruited

ADDRESSING THE BACKLOG
• Many improvements made within Firearms Licensing Team
• There is a still a backlog to be addressed
• A ‘Legacy Team’ has been created to focus on this with the expectation to clear grant
backlog by early summer
• The remainder of the department operate as ‘Business As Usual’
• New service plan commenced on 12 December 2016
• All ‘New Business’ since 12 December has been completed within interim Service Level
Agreements
• The SLAs will be reviewed once legacy work is complete.
