The Russian Federation has a federal and semi-presidential system, based on the Constitution and laws of the Russian Federation, and functions on the basis of the principle of the separation of legislative, judicial and executive powers, as well as mutual checks and balances

The Russian political system

It is a federal semi-presidential republic consisting of 22 autonomous republics, 46 oblasts, 9 frontier regions, 4 autonomous regions, 1 autonomous oblast, and 3 federal municipalities. It is located in the northern part of the Eurasian continent, spanning two continents, and covers an area of 17,098,200 square kilometers, which is the largest country in the world.

Russia conquered the countries that made up the USSR, better known as the Sovirt Union. The countries in the Union were :

● Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Belorussia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.(December 30, 1922)
