It is absolutely amazing to watch bible prophecy being played out in the ‘politics’ of world governments in the media before our very eyes. Thanks to prophecy, the discerned

eye can see the nearness of The Third World War that is described, in part, in Daniel Chapter 11. Further text [Ezekiel 38] moves even further into the future and describes the Final World War, The War of Armageddon. A large confederacy of nations is foreseen in both of these wars where one of the major “aggressors” is Gog, Chief Prince of the Land of Magog. Magog was an ancient name for the Land of the Scythians in the southern part of what is now Russia. Called The Medes, they were the 2nd ruling superpower of the ancient world, but it wasn’t until WWII that Russia [The U.S.S.R.] became a ‘global superpower’. Russia’s rulers have openly spoken of their country’s destiny while referring directly to prophecy. So what of Russia today??

The instability and the resurgence of ‘ethnic’ and ‘religious’ conflicts in Russia are extremely important factors that precipitate their involvement in WWIII. The fact that Russia (Mede) allies with Iran (Persia), Ethiopia (Kush) and Libya (Phut) in the last war, found in Ezekiel 38:5, means Russia’s relationship to The European Union and Middle Eastern nations deserves some attention. To the unenlightened eye, this may simply appear to be a move to secure a “European” continent, but according to

The Bible Magazine, a Historical German Museum’s exhibition title refers to it best as “The Idea of Europe: Concepts For An Eternal Peace”.

Several copies of the last will and testament of Peter The Great, The Tsar who ruled Russia from 1682 to 1725, have appeared throughout the years affirming Russia’s perpetual direction: War !! [This is certainly true since wars are actually never won, they simply continue]. The will indicated, “while trusting in peace, warlike preparations must never be neglected” and that “Russia should be looked upon as a country to establish her rule over all Europe”. The will explained that “since the nations of the globe are going through such utter decrepitude, Europe can easily be subjugated once Russia gains her power and strength that shall come through ‘Divine Province”’. It is interesting that the Russian word Tsar [Dictator] is synonymous with Caesar [Latin spoken by the Romans] and Keiser [German]. But what does Rome and Germany have to do with Russia anyway? Plenty, once we remember that this Beast of our last days [the 4 ancient world empires] includes and all their territories and alliances with nations. This is the European Union in full effect--moving through

[trampling] lands and peoples mobilized by the feet of The Bear!!

Daniel 7:7 “…Behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly…it had great IRON teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it…IT WAS DIVERSE FROM ALL THE BEASTS THAT WERE BEFORE IT; and it had ten horns [kings] ”.

Peter The Great reminded Russia in his will that “The Roman Empire was already regenerated once by an invasion of the barbarians” [Mongols]”:

But a Germanic people [ancient Franks], Franks], with a different manner from other Germanic tribe didn’t abandon their homeland when they expanded their territory. Under the leadership of of the warrior chieftain Clovis (481/ 482 - 511), the various Frankish tribes were united, which gave them the military strength to depose the last Roman Roman governor in Gaul, drove The Visigoths into Spain, absorbed the Burgundian Kingdom, and eventually conquered most of Gaul creating modern France. Within the next 3 centuries, other Franks [French] were successful in in re-uniting western Europe as one entity. Consistent with Rev 17, The Bible Magazine provides supporting evidence that the harlot (false religion), the ‘scarlet-‘scarlet-colored’ Beast and Babel have one origin. The “icon” of a parliament building in Strasbourg, France, is an enormous unfinished replica of the Tower of Babel that even even the secular media has named “Euro-Babel”. A poster, issued by the EU, depicts this rebellious tower with a slogan entitled, “Many Tongues, One Voice”. [The British Parliament used the image of a harlot riding the Beast in 1979 on an official stamp that commemorated the opening of the British Parliament building. Now, it’s the official picture of the EU, painted on the dome of the Parliament Building in Brussels, Belgium; headquarters for The European Union. A statue of a woman riding a bull [harlot & beast] sits in front, proving the accuracy of bible prophecy.

It is interesting to note, that prior to America’s recent “crusade” against Iraq, that it was France and Germany (like Siamese-twins) and Belgium (all still allied after 1,600 years) who threatened all EU nations with serious consequences if any EU Partner sided against them and joined the U.S. coalition to remove Saddam Hussein.

Dan 7:8 “…there came up among them another little horn; in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things”.

Many nations within the EU, like Russia (and especially France) have normally sided with Germany in most decisions. Germany made a cunning move in December 2000 when they PERSUADED [instead of demanding] that all EU members give them larger veto and voting authority in the EU due to their larger populations. This ‘new power’ allows Germany to impose new laws or make any changes it desires IF two other major countries side with them. France’s bloody history as a “riotous and rebellious” nation who once wielded the guillotine, beheading their own ruling class within three days and nights (St. Bartholomew’s Massacre) and the French Revolution are only reminders of Gaul’s ancient barbarian behavior. Germany’s past of innumerable atrocities during the reign of Adolph Hitler and the rise of The Nazi Party are not only closely related seeds of the ancient Gauls and their behavior, but are closely associated with one another and are seated at the very top of the EU and all of its goings-on. When thinking of the executions and beheadings taking place in The Middle East today, this Germanic element [France and Germany] produces a “chilling effect” due to their past of mass executions. Germany could easily produce this little horn -- the final Anti-Christ Dictator!!!. Even the Middle East is represented in the images of this very “diverse” Beast. While the ferocity and swiftness of this leopard-like superpower is the ancient Greek Empire [the 4 leopard heads & body], it is not a coincidence that the leopard is a fantastic representation of those Middle Eastern nations that were a part of Alexander The Great’s conquered territories. In these last days, the Middle East [represented as modern-day ‘Islam’] is quite obvious in the character of this leopard-spotted beast. Leopards, unlike other big cats, are loners who can live among its prey and remain unseen…hidden in tall grass while using its natural spots (character) as camouflage. Found in the Middle East, Africa and some [pre-dominantly-Islamic] Asian countries, when they attack, it’s usually by surprise and at night; and they use no pattern (so the prey is caught off guard). Highly menacing and predatory, they’re known for their constant pacing as they wait patiently for the right moment to attack. How similar is Islam (in its extreme form) to the likeness of this prophetic animal!] Hosea 13:7-8 “I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them: I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart …the wild beast shall tear them”.

Every super nation on earth has been involved with the Middle East since the beginning of time in one conflict after another. The West has been ‘liberating’ The Middle East for centuries with a hypocritical need to overthrow its dictators and spread demon-o-cracy [Christianity]; and not coincidentally either. What is it about The Middle East that is accelerating these international conflicts and increasing the pace toward the fulfillment of prophecy in the coming 3rd World War???

Ezekiel 38:4-7 “And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords… all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them”.

In the prophecies against Russia, Ezekiel 38:7, she is told to ‘be a guard unto all her bands’. But rather than a ‘Mother Bear’ protecting her cubs [territories], the word ‘guard’ has a menacing interpretation. Conqueror is a defining word. Looking at Russia’s modern past, she has been sanctioned, humiliated and starved for food and cash. How shall she survive?? The same way she has in the past!! According to The Bible Magazine, written over 100 years ago in a book entitled Elpis Israel and published in 1948, a writer, John Thomas, wrote the following:

And they shall again!!! An April 20, 2004 BBC News article says that “Oil and Conflict Are A Natural Mix”. How right they are! President George Bush’s recent U.S. invasion of Iraq was to overthrow Saddam while giving the U.S. access to Iraq’s oil…a desperate survival tactic of taking a spoil!!

Revelation 6:6 “And I heard A VOICE IN THE MIDST OF THE FOUR BEASTS say, ‘A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and SEE THOU HURT NOT THE OIL AND THE WINE”.

Olive trees and their oil are not only abundant in The Middle East, but oil is richly reserved. The oil [according to the voice in the midst of The Beast] and the wine are a rich man’s delicacies while barley [with wheat not too far behind] is identified for the ‘poor’. The BBC News article indicated that early in the 19th Century, Azerbaijan and its capital, Baku, at the heart of the Caspian Sea, was once the capital of the world’s oil exports. Baku’s oil was a target for Germany in World War I, but was captured and briefly occupied by the British. However, it was taken from Britain by Soviet Russia who was even more dependent upon this ‘black gold’ and equally as intent upon getting it. Hitler aimed for Baku a second time during World War II and predicted if they didn’t get the oil from the Caucus Mountains, they would lose the war. Even Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor had its origins, in part, by a U.S. decision to limit oil exports in 1941 – a U.S. retaliation for the Japanese invasion of China. Japan, almost totally reliant on U.S. imported oil, decided it would have to get its oil from elsewhere and not long after, they invaded the oil-rich Dutch-held Indonesian Islands. Oil also played its part in a 1953 coup in Iran [organized by Britain and the U.S.]. Islamic Fundamentalists ended this coup in 1979. But, the release of official documents from The British National Archives in January 1973 revealed just how far even the U.S. is willing to go for oil. The documents exposed Washington’s [written] plan to seize the oilfields of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The exposure caused an Arab Oil Embargo against the West. Capitalistic forces of the E.U., the U.S. and predominant European countries do not drive the global crude oil market. Rather, it is a market defined by geopolitical forces – a market where governments in oil-producing and exporting countries (OPEC) make choices that ‘critically’ affect this ‘vital resource’. Our current oil-price ‘crisis’ is both case and point that began as one situation and developed into a vastly different one! In 1997, Asian economies, that had been the strongest growth sector in oil demand, began to diminish as Asians faced the effects of their economic collapse. Plus, a warmer than normal winter for the U.S. and Europe reduced their demand causing a failure to use up normal stored inventories of oil. Venezuela and Saudi Arabia then began a market share battle without realizing they’d just entered a constrained market. So, when oil surpluses develop, prices fall. The U.S. economy, however, remained robust, so oil producers began shifting their production toward the U.S., damaging American oil producers. This caused oil-producing countries (OPEC) to manage their production, further suppressing prices that began to have global consequences; crippling economies and destabilizing governments of countries like RUSSIA, Indonesia, Venezuela, Mexico and Saudi Arabia. By 1998, when prices were at historic lows, the emerging role of Iraq became evident and Saddam Hussein was only too willing to step forward. In 1998, Iraq was exporting about $700,000 B/D into the world market. However, two modifications to the U.N. Sanctions Program changed Iraq’s position:

“Where did The Barbarians procure the funds to overthrow the Western Empire in the 5th and 6th Centuries? Did they not support themselves by the ‘SPOIL’?”

First it increased Iraq’s allowable oil sales limit to $5.25 billion every 6 months; [allowing un-limited oil exports]. Second, Iraq was allowed to expend $300 million every 6 months to enhance its productive oil capacity. By 1999, Iraq had become the world’s ‘swing producer’ of oil, with the 2nd largest reserve worldwide, and Saddam was its ruling King! As the world reduced its oil production Saddam, increased Iraq’s and sold at low prices, keeping prices low. Controlling oil prices enabled Saddam to punish his enemies – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and [by undermining U.S. production], the United States. U.N. Sanctions gave Saddam a weapon by which to win a war he failed to win on the battlefield during The Gulf War. Although the recent war with Iraq was a Bush-Cheney cover-up of the Saudi-factor in 9/11, and weapons of mass destruction [WMD] was the excuse, Saddam was the ‘scapegoat’, but oil was the target! U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney warned the U.S. of Iraq’s ambitions in 2002; “Saddam Hussein could be expected to seek domination of the entire Middle East and take control of a great portion of the world’s oil supply”.

Oil is America’s energy lifeline but she is not alone. Japan and Russia are both oil-dependent countries. As a matter of fact, a February 28, 2004 BBC News article indicated that ‘Russia is overly dependent on oil sales revenue due to widespread tax evasion’, according to a World Bank report. The Independent Petroleum Association of America states that political upheavals in the USSR and Eastern European Nations have changed the perceptions about Russia as an aggressive power, a reputation that she deservedly gained from her invasion of Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968 and Afghanistan in 1979. The rapid break up of the USSR surprised everyone, but it left the

way open for Russia, the largest and most politically powerful of the republics, to dominate the scene. [A recent study even revealed that one day the U.S. and European Allies may be in conflict over dwindling Middle East oil supplies]. And looking further ahead, when oil runs down significantly, perhaps the world will turn again to nuclear power. In this case, those countries with uranium deposits (the new black gold) such as Australia, Kazakhstan, Canada, South Africa, Namibia, Brazil, Uzbekistan, China, Russia and the USA, would become global targets. Will Russia use this resource to her gain?? Notice some of the allied nations that support Russia when she attacks the U.S.:

Prepare against her the nations [The EU] with the kings of the Medes [Russians], the captains and all the rulers thereof, AND ALL THE LAND OF HIS DOMINION [HIS ALLIES].

Russia has been used since ancient days toward YHWH’s purpose and will be used again in the wars of the near future. [A portion of Russia (1/6) is even reserved for the final war, The War of Armageddon–Ezekiel 38:13-39:1-5]! Their purpose in war? They’ve come to take a spoil!

Ezekiel 38:13 “Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?” Rev 16:10-11 “The fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, And blasphemed the God of Heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds”. For over 50 years, the people of Kambarka have been sitting on 6,400 tons of Lewisite, a lethal blistering agent that is a part of Russia’s chemical weapons arsenal. A town of 13,500 in the Udmurt Republic, 1,000 kilometers east of Moscow, Kambarka has a beautiful landscape of cottages with dirt roads shaded in greenery and a large pond…a dreamland for nature lovers, fishermen and hunters. The town is only one of 7 sites in Russia storing 40,000 tons - half of the global supply - of chemical weapons. The towns-people did not learn of

their hidden backyard secret until the early 1990s that has left them fearful and resentful of possible leaks or terrorists attacks that would contaminate the entire region and their surrounding areas.

The stockpile was outlawed in 1993 by a global disarmament treaty signed by over 160 countries. But, destroying chemical weapons is a very expensive venture that Russia cannot fund having already missed an extended deadline. It is estimated that it would take Russia $7 billion dollars and 60 years to eliminate what is actually the world’s largest stockpile of World War II-generation blistering agents. She also still has every WWII tank, plane, bomber, missile, and nuclear warhead that she had during the Cold War Era!

Even the most sanitized or unclassified version of a 2003 report from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to Congress paints a picture of a cash-strapped Russia selling dual-use technology to increasingly dangerous Iran and China. The report, mandatory under the Intelligence Authorization Act, made it clear that these dual-use materials and technologies that were being purchased by foreign entities, while peaceful, were are also handy for building weapons of mass destruction during the period of July 1 through December 31, 2001. While hiding behind the so-called ‘peaceful aspects’ of this dual-use technology, Russia admitted that the technology was not only sold to Iran, China and India, but it all came with and was built by the expertise of Russian scientists and physicists!!

Jeremiah 51:45-46 ‘My people, go you out of the midst of her…lest your heart faint, and you fear for the rumor that shall be heard in the land; a rumor shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumor, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler”.

The rumors of a Russian attack on the U.S. [scripture noted above] is more than just a rumor according to prophecy. Scripture reveals that the rumors abound not long before the actual event and the secular news is right in step with them both. In May and June 2004, according to The Christian Science Monitor, The Daily Cardinal and other news sources, when the U.S. ear-marked billions of dollars for a new national missile defense system and actually broke ground in Alaska for it, they said it would pose “no threat to Russia”. But President Vladimir Putin saw fit to reassure Russians that America’s defense shields could be easily defeated with a ‘silver bullet’ success-fully tested in February 2004. “No other country in the world as yet has such arms”, Putin boasted. His silver bullet is actually a space cruise missile that will be capable of “hitting targets CONTINENTS AWAY with hypersonic speed, high precision, and the ability of wide maneuver”. Last year, Putin said of his newly deployed SS-19 Inter-continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs): “Their combat potential including penetrating through ANY missile defense system, is without peer”. Putin also has a relatively new three-stage SS-27 missile known as The Topol-M that is a maneuverable warhead that can dart unpredictably at HIGH SPEEDS as it reenters the atmosphere, making it virtually impossible to target at that stage!! The Topol-M space cruise missile was born from Soviet Russia’s efforts to penetrate Ronald Regan’s “Star Wars” missile defense system [announced in 1981], but was never built !! [The collapse of the Soviet Union and a change of U.S. Presidents at the end of the 1980s reduced Star Wars' impact so much so that its budget was sharply cut, and many of its research and development programs were significantly reduced or abandoned]. Russia has had over 20 years to develop, test and perfect the old ‘SS’ missile technology motivated by her Cold War fears that the U.S. might attack her first. Similar signs exist that confirms that Russia reacted offensively to the current U.S. Missile defense plans before they even left the U.S. drawing board. Since 9/11 in 2001 and even still, Russia casts itself as a fellow terrorism fighter side by side with the U.S., however Russia loudly opposed the U.S. withdrawal from the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty in June 2002. Thus, it should surprise no one that Russia launched a 2002 exercise that simulated an attack on Moscow’s Anti-Ballistic Missile system which experts say mirrored a strike on a future United States system, but according to the media, the U.S. continues to insist that her current Missile Defense system is not really a threat nor is it directed at Russia. She also continues to dismiss ‘talks of a possible attack by Russia’; that is until recently when Putin announced this newly tested technology that experts say is far superior to the Topol-M!! U.S. ‘political experts’ have labeled Putin’s announcement as a ‘ploy to gain sup-port for re-election instead of being a direct threat to U.S. security’. Putin has gone along with the game stating that “Russia and the U.S. are not enemies”, but, 49 retired U.S. Generals and Admirals wrote to President Bush in March 2004 suggesting he delay deployment stating, “The Russian military and scientist understand that U.S. missile defense is a joke”. Theodore Postol, a physicist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, reasoned that “it does not mean everyone understands it’s a political environment. If I wave a plastic gun at police, it makes them nervous, and I’m going to get shot even though my gun has no capacity”. What an accurate description of the current U.S. Missile Defense system!! It might as well be a plastic gun! Although a limited system is due to go online later this year, the Pentagon’s top weapons tester advised Congress in March that operational testing was not ‘for the foreseeable future’ and he could not be sure the system would work against a North Korean missile. Washington has found that only two of 10 key technologies designed for the system have so far proven to be workable!!

Jeremiah 50:42-43 “…Every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon [America]. The king of Babylon [The President] has heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail [labor]”.

Washington implies that “Russia cannot threaten the United States. She is poor. She is weak. She is starving. She is in chaos” [The Tribune Review]. “Think again”, says Col. Stanislav Lunev, the highest ranking military intelligence officer ever to have defected from Russia. He did so 12 years ago, in 1992 after the Soviet Union dissolved and Boris Yeltsin had come to power. It was at this time that he first informed The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of Russia’s continuing plans to “dupe” America. [At the time of his defection he had been living in America with his wife, working under-cover as a journalist for the Russian News Agency, while doing his real job – spying on the U.S.]. Thus, U.S. Intelligence deemed Lunev to be a liar and ignored his warnings, unwilling to upset the applecart and tarnish the so-called warm and fuzzy feelings between the U.S. and Russia since the Soviet Union collapse. However, Lunev went public with the information he revealed in 1998 in a book he co-authored with Ira Winkler entitled Through The Eyes of The Enemy: Russia’s Highest Ranking Military Defector Reveals Why Russia Is More Dangerous Than Ever. These U.S. controversies have not gone unnoticed in Russia as they continue to swirl and expand… yes, there is more!!!

Jeremiah 50:36-37 “A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed...and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.”

Through the Eyes of the Enemy is more than the autobiography of a highly skilled intelligence operative and defector; it is a "debriefing" on the new cold war being waged by the Russian Mafia against American corporations. [From the recent corruption we see within the American corporate structure, his claims are easy to believe]. Lunev portrays The Mafia as a front for The KGB and The Communist Party and has warned that organized crime is the only authority in modern Russia! [Russia is said to obtain financing for ventures from foreign countries by holding them hostage to threats of retaliation with their massive arsenal]. He further insists that this element has infiltrated every level of American private and corporate life. But with Putin’s recent announcement of his ‘secret weapon’ and the resurgence of references to, and discussions on, a more recent book authored in 2001 by Lunev entitled: CIA Files: Defector Reveals Russia’s Secret War Plans”, ISBN: 0970402961, U.S. intelligence agencies are now listening to Lunev!!. Now, who’s the one looking like a liar?? It is no secret that the U.S. let down her guard and left it down for 20 years. How can America catch up to Russia? ‘With America out of the way’, Lunev implied, ‘Russia would rule the world because they would have a massive nuclear and chemical arsenal even after the attack’!!. Lunev advised that even during Yeltsin’s term, he commissioned Peter The Great, the world’s largest missile cruiser. Russia is also said to have: • a new “earthquake bomb” that was accidentally tested, killing thousands; • already positioned nuclear weapons on U.S. soil and have plans for a nuclear attack on Pearl Harbor; • to use their special operations forces to detonate specially designed ‘suitcase nuclear bombs’ to poison U.S. water supplies and; • carry out the assignation of high ranking military and corporate officials during the initial stage of the attack. Lunev cautioned that it’s not necessary for suitcase bombs to be connected to electric power supplies because they can function for a time on battery power. The G-8 officially met in 1973 when France gathered 5 other world leaders in what was the G-6: (the U.S. Japan, Germany, Britain and Italy). Canada joined in 1997 forming the G-7 and gradually Russia joined over the years until 2002 when they became a full partner (except in areas of finance) forming the G-8. (Some don’t think Russia should have been included). Is the E.U. involved?? You betcha!!

The E.U. was first present in the 1997 London Summit and has become a full participant [like a global board of directors] in its process; although it does not preside over the summits or the agenda. In order to understand what is on their agendas, we have to look at the current condition of the world:

The commitments from the Sea Island Summit will continue to advance. Last year alone, 206 commitments were made but require funding.
