The equipment records Video from ‘normal’ and Infra Red (IR) sources as well as Radar video (i.e. Radar screen views), Radar Data, and also Ships Data (Heading, Time, Speed etc) as well as Audio from the ships communication system. The sys- tem also provides a termination patch panel for the Additional Video Cables, to enable these to be linked to the Command and Weapon Control system. The system consists of 3 major subsystems, a Radar Recording System, a Video Recording system and an Audio Distribution & Control Unit. The Radar Video Re- corder (RVR), records onto DVD the Radar input from one of 2 radar systems, audio (2 channels) and ships data. For playback of information the RVR interfaces with the ships Radar display. The TV/IR Video Recorder (TVR) allows recording of up to 6 video inputs onto one of 2 SVHS tape recorders. Playback or monitoring of the recorded video is possible through an external interface . The Audio Distribu- tion and Control Unit enables selection of Input video, playback VCR’s and distri- bution of incoming audio channels for recording and playback. The system is as- sembled into a 19” rack of maximum dimensions 600mm x 600mm x 1500mm (W x D x H). The rack houses Power supplies to convert the ships supply (115V/60Hz) to suit- able input voltages for the equipment, and an interface panel to house the inter- face connectors and perform any necessary conversions to enable connection to RADAR, VIDEO, & DATA RECORDER Falcon is a Protec PLC Company
