Recomendation DOSAGE RATES 1 to5 up to 1 to 50 ( ratio mixed with Fresh Water ) all depending on type of soil to be removed.in some cases it may be necessary to apply the RXSOL-20-3018 even undiluted. A typical example is when trying to remove black colour pigments (pitch) of Green Delayed Pet coke from painted hold surface.

This product is very useful when any barrier or release agents were not applied prior to loading.

In cases of light deposition, on large surface areas, a solution between 10–40% may be used.

B. Cleaning Procedure

Undiluted/Diluted: In parts such as corner cavities, tank skeleton inlets, etc, Apply RXSOL-22-2202 through hard brush, mop, sponge or any other manual method. Let it soak for 15 minutes. Afterwards, wash thoroughly by applying high–pressure water source. In case of deposit persistence, repeat the cleaning procedure.

Soak Method:-It may be used concentrated or diluted with water, depending on the degree of contamination, the surface area to be treated, the desired degree of cleaning and the available downtime.Actually, the user is the best one capable to regulate the quantity and concentration to be used for the situation at hand.In any case, when the accumulation is not heavy, a 50% solution with water must be used. Otherwise,RXSOL-22-2201. can be used undiluted especially when deposition is heavy and hard spots persist.

Cleaning Procedure

Conventional cleaning methods such as a brush,hard sponge, thick and hard broom and /or a mop can be used on heavy duty and hard stain deposits.Note that for heavy accumulations the cleaning procedure might be necessary to be repeated unti l the results are satisfactory. Furthermore, is important to keep in mind that 1 litre of RXSOL-22-2201 is sufficient to cover a surface area of 8–10 square meters.

• Cleaning time will vary depending on the extract nature and thickness of deposit to be removal.• Stubborn deposits should be scrubbed to assist the cleaning operation.Your local Rx CLEANSERS representative will work with you to design the optimum concentration & procedure for your system.RXSOL-22-2201 should be mixed with fresh water to form a solution of 10-30%, depending on the extent of scaling. Oxalic acid is an organic compound with the formula H2C2O4. This colorless crystalline solid is a dicarboxylic acid. In terms of acid strength, it is about 3,000 times stronger than acetic acid. Oxalic acid is a reducing agent and its conjugate base, known as oxalate (C2O42-), is a chelating agent for metal cations. Typically oxalic acid occurs as the d i h y d r a t e w i t h t h e f o r m u l a H2C2O4·2H2O.

Oxalic Acid is used extensively for boat cleaning, it can be used on timber, GRP and steel craft for the removal of rust and waterline stains and also to clean timber decks. For vertical applications oxalic can be mixed with wallpaper paste to make a thick solution, this mix will cling to any vertical surface and can be washed off with water.

REMOVAL OF IRON STAINSIron stains can be removed by scrubbing the stained area with an aqueous solution of oxalic acid in water. Dissolve 1kg oxalic acid to 6Lt of warm water. Scrub stained area using a stiff-bristle brush. Thoroughly rinse with water after treatment. When completely dry, lightly sand the surface. Surface must be clean and completely dry (not just surface dry) before refinishing. Incomplete drying and retained subsurface moisture can cause finish adhesion failure.

REMOVAL OF BLACK WATER AND TANNIN STAINA common form of staining on wood surfaces results from contamination with iron. A portion of the extractives in wood includes a group of chemicals collectively called tannins. The amount of tannins depends on species; oak, redwood, and cedar are rich in tannins. Tannins react with iron to form a blue-black stain on wood. Common causes of iron stain include use of un-galvanized or poorly galvanized fasteners; OXALIC ACID brushed into the stains makes removal easy. Finishing wood with a W A T E R R E P E L L A N T W I T H A PRESERVATIVE AND/ORWOOD POLISH OR OIL greatly minimizes further iron stain and enhances the finish of the wood.. Ideal for difficult cleaning problems faced in industrial and other plants, Very effective degreaser which removes dirt, oil and grease from the equipment, parts, components, engines, floors and walls etc.

After the RxTuff has been sprayed on the surface and before the wash down begins, the chemicals penetrates & thoroughly moistens dirt & other grime. During wash down, the RxTuff thoroughly dissolves the particles of dirt, even oil and fat, in the water spray and thus achieves optimal cleaning results.In addition to being more effective, the use of RxTuff substantially reduces the time required for the Cle -aning operation, as well as preventing dirt from reforming on the surface. The use of RxTuff in correct dosages is half the job done.

Apply RxTuffon dry surface where possible! A dry surface will absorb far better than a wet surface. When applying RxTuff on vertical surfaces: Start application from the bottom and work upwards! If beginning from the top and going downwards, the RxTuff may produce "channels" down the surface, thereby running too fast off the surface. During high pressure cleaning: It is important that the rinsing water does not run over non-cleaned surfaces! The rinsing water can draw soap from the surface if running over non-cleaned surfaces. High pressure together with optimum concentration of RxTuff will give the best effect .

The job of high pressure cleaning can be done easier & quicker by simply using RxTuffin correct dosages. Tank Cleaning:-Cargo tank cleaning to remove residues of Mineral, Animal, Vegetable or Fish oil, Waxes & Soot from inert gas systems.

Method of Application and Dose Rates:- Direct injection method for tank washing machines. Dose rate 1-5 litres per ton wash water (0.1- 0.5%)

Recirculation method. Dose rate 1-7 litres per ton wash water (0.1- 0.7%).

Spot hcleaning. Hand spray neat or diluted with up to 5 parts water and leave for several minutes before rinsing off with clean water.

RxTuff Suitable for cleaning engine components like fuel and Lube oil filters, Injection nozzles, pump components, inlet and exhaust valves & primarily refers to cleaning of hard surfaces, such as Decks, Tanks, Engine-rooms, etc. can be used for all types of cleaning and degreasing and may be applied by brush, handspray, high and low pressure washing machines etc.

General Cleaning:-- RxTuff can be used for all types of cleaning & degreasing & may be applied by Brush, Hand spray, high and low pressure washing machines etc. Time necessary for cleaning depends on the nature and thickness of the deposits. 20-30 min. will suffice for most applications. Hardened, carbonised or aged deposits may require up to 4 hours.

Cleaning of Cargo Tanks to Remove Soot from Inert Gas Systems:- Spray RxTuff on with a high pressure cleaning machine and use 1:6 with water. If used with hand sprayer,spray the product neat onto the surface, allowing 1 lit. For every 12 m2. Use a 5-8% solution in a tank washing machine.

Leave for about 30-45 minutes. The surface should be kept wet.

Wash down with hot water (80°C) and check the cargo tank.

Repeat the procedure if necessary.

Stain Removal Tips

Whenever possible, the cleaning solution should be heated to 60-80°C.If this method is not poss ib le , other conventional methods such as separate rate direct injection, recirulation or hand spraying provide acceptable options.For boiler fire side cleaning, a 10-20 % hot solution, (temp. above 40°C), should be sprayed on to the surfaces to be cleaned. Allow to penetrate for 20 minutes and flush off. For deposits which are very hard to remove, increase the concentration to 50% and repeat if necessary.

Unknown

If a stain cannot be identified, treat with cool water first, then sponge with a good quality laundry liquid solution. Rinse well and if stain persists try equal quantities of methylated spirits (wood alcohol) and ammonia, testing first to note effect on colour and fabric. If colour is affected, omit ammonia. As a last resort, try a mild bleach, e.g. A diaper wash/sanitiser container sodium percarbonate.

Tips for removal of RED WINE Stains from :

Quickly Remove as much of the excess red wine from the material by blotting the spot with any absorbent material. Paper or cotton towels work best. Place a piece of the towel on the front and back of the material and press down & Hold for two to three minutes to absorb the wine. Remove and replace the towels and then repeat the process.

Rxsol PCS (Coal / Lime Remover) is an innovative, concentrated liquid product specifically engineered to attack, penetrate and remove Coal Carbon, pet coke, lime deposition accumulations from cargo and storage tanks, AlsoDeveloped for cargo hold cleaning to remove stains and discoloring after discharge of cargoes such as pet coke, coal, lime and other oily type cargoes.. Additionally, it may also be used to remove mineral deposits and eliminate bad odors in tanks and other closed systems.

It is free from hydrocarbon solvents, non flammable and biodegradable.

It is special blend of synthetic detergents and holding agents to increase its effectiveness on vertical surface.

Rxsol PCS (Coal / lime Remover) may be used concentrated or diluted with water, depend ing on the degree o f contamination, the surface area to be treated, the desired degree of cleaning and the available downtime.Actually, the user is the best one capable to regulate the quantity and concentration to be used for the situation at hand.In any case, when the accumulation is not heavy, a 50% solution with water must be used. Otherwise,Rxsol PCS (Coal Remover). can be used undiluted especially when deposition is heavy and hard spots persist.




Cleaning Procedure

Note

Conventional cleaning methods such as a brush,hard sponge, thick and hard broom and /or a mop can be used on heavy duty and hard stain deposits.Note that for heavy accumulations the cleaning procedure might be necessary to be repeated until the results are satisfactory. Furthermore, is important to keep in mind that 1 litre of Rxsol PCS (Coal / lime Remover) is sufficient to cover a surface area of 8–10 square meters.

NOTE ::: -- Let this product soak into the surface for 30-45 minutes. Then using a high-powered spray washer blast the surfaces until the stains and discoloration is gone.

A water based heavy duty alkaline cleaner for removal of oily stains as pet coke and coal. Also contains a specialized blend of synthetic surfactants which allow for more cling time to cargo hold surfaces.The cleaning should take place as soon as discharge is complete to maximize effectiveness. This materials can be use directly with low pressure machine or manually by garden spray pump. in general practice on smooth & clean surface each drums of 210 ltrs covers 2000 to 2500 sq meter while on rough and rusted surface require more quantities of materials.

Application

A 12% solution is widely used in waterworks for the chlorination of water and a 15% solution is more commonly used for disinfection of waste water in treatment plants. High-test hypochlorite (HTH) is sold for chlorination of swimming pools and contains approximately 30% calcium hypochlorite. The crystalline salt is also sold for the same use; this salt usually contains less than 50% of calcium hypochlorite. However, the level of active chlorine may be much higher.

Do not store adjacent to chemicals that may react if spillage occurs. Comply with Oman regulations, when shipped. If closed containers become heated, vent to release decomposition products (mainly oxygen under normal decomposition). Do not mix or c o n t a m i n a t e w i t h a m m o n i a , hydrocarbons, acids, alcohol or ethers.

Product residues may remain in containers. All labeled precautions MUST be observed. Dispose of container in a manner meeting government regulations.

Product should be completely removed from containers. Material that cannot be used or chemically reprocessed should be disposed of, in a manner meeting government regulations.

Also used as a disinfectant and germicide,especially in the sterilizati- on of water. It is also used for making wool unshrinkable and in the manufactire of chloroform. If you use calcium hypochlorite (the white, powder version of chlorine, like HTH pool cleaner), the equation becomes:

Let's assume that we still need to disinfect 5,000 gallons at 100 ppm.How many pounds of 65% calcium hypochlorite (HTH pool cleaner) are needed?

(8.33 lbs/ gal. x 5,000 gal x 100 ppm) / (1,000,000 x .65) = 6.4 pounds

General formulation to calculate how much bleach is needed to add to a tank or a pipeline to disinfect it to a given chlorine residual using a given disinfectant. Usually someone wants to know how to meet an AWWA Standard (like C651-92, Disinfection of Water Mains). The equation below should be used to estimate the amount of sodium / Calcium hypochlorite (Chlorine Water is 6.00% sodium hypochlorite) needed to disinfect a given quantity of water to a desired chlorine concentration.

INGESTION:NEVER GIVE ANYTHING BY MOUTH TO AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON. If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Give large quantities of milk or gelatin solution. If these are not available give large quantities of water. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep airway clear and give more milk, gelatin solution or water, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY. Avoid vomiting, lavages or acidic antidotes.

NOTE TO PHYS IC IAN: Sod i um Hypochlorite is an alkaline corrosive. For exposure by ingestion do not use emesis, lavages or acidic antidotes. Dilute immediately by giving milk, melted ice cream, beaten egg white, starch paste or antacids such as milk magnesia. Aluminum hydroxide gel or magnesium trisilicate gel. Avoid sodium bicarbonate because of carbon di-oxide release. Sodium thiosulphate solution may prove beneficial by reducing unreacted material.

Quickly Remove as much of the excess red wine from the material by blotting the spot with any absorbent material. Paper or cotton towels work best. Place a piece of the towel on the front and back of the material and press down & Hold for two to three minutes to absorb the wine. Remove and replace the towels and then repeat the process.

To be accepted for some dry bulk cargoes the holds need to be hospital-clean.

• Shorter port stays and ballast trips• Less deck hands available• Stains and residues allowed to accumulate• Holds required to be grain or hospital clean• Frequent cosmetic repainting• Removal of thick and cracked paint is expensive

Operators of bulk carriers are becoming more and more efficient and ballast trips are becoming shorter and shorter. Due to security rules, safety inspections by class and port authorities etc, the number of available deckhands for cleaning operations during vessels’ stays in port has been reduced. To save time, more and more hold cleaning has to be performed from tank top level with closed hatches during sea-voyages.

This leaves you with a problem simply because most bulk carriers do not have access to the upper parts of the holds. Most bulk carriers are of old-fashioneddesign and were not designed for cleaning, nor adequately equipped by the shipyard.

We all know that some cargoes will cause problems.Cargo rotation between cement, coal/petcoke and grain /pulp can easily result in costly cleaning by contractors at ports or at anchorage and many days off-hire.
